  1. I've noticed that their wickless, but I love me a challenge. I already own every wick known around and I have enough time on my hands to test so I'm ready. And if I can't wick them then they'll be wickless, lol.
  2. I'm wondering if it's the Balmoral Jar on Fairways site, they look similar. I might have to order some to try out, thanks.
  3. I hope the link works, http://www.candlewarmers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?Cat=59 Everybody in my town and the surrounding areas have my type of mason/canning jars and I want something new and different. I'm in PA if that helps. I've searched and I've come up with nothing. Mindy
  4. Ok, just got the book and fell in love with most of the warmers. Now I have a ? about the jars, where in the heck can I find Jars that look like the Hurricane ones? I've searched everywhere and can't find them.
  5. Boy what a Duh question, lol. I've been having those quite often lately, lol.
  6. I get an instant headache when I pour Rose, Lavender, and any strong floral FO's. I absolutley hate to pour Brown Sugar & Fig. I pour a huge batch of it to last throughout the winter during the fall.
  7. Is the $34.99 wholesale price per or is that the retail price? I've never seen those before.
  8. My first thought was Hillbilly Homebrew but it's just a yucky scent but worth the try. Maybe the customer could give you a hint to what it smelled like.. Yuck, moonshine needs to be mixed with something or I'm lying on the floor.
  9. I just went through a major testing for florals and of course all my testers including myself aren't big floral fans. But we did add 3 of them. Lilac and Hydrangea Heaven from NG and Rose from Peaks.
  10. I made candles while I was pregnant and I was fine. But I do have to say I had to quit making Vodoo Romance I think that's the name because my youngest has an allergic reaction to the smell of it.
  11. It's a shame, Yankme used to be a great company, I loved their candles. But they got expensive to buy and the candles started becoming cheaply made. They need to rethink their marketing strategies, and start over again with their basic candles. They have to much stuff.
  12. You would think I would know where to post this but anyways. I was invited to a PL party, I was insulted at first but quickly got over it once I got there because people ordered the stuff that I don't make. But did you know that PL sells soap, lotion and body scrubs now. I smelled them they stunk and their prices are totally outrageous (sp?). But they had this cute container it looks like an Ice Cream Cone it's glass. It is so cute and I had quite a few people at the party ask me if I could find that container. If anybody knows let me know...
  13. Dang, it's hard but I'll throw some out. 1) Pumpkin Spice Type 2) Vanilla or Sugar Cookie 3) Clean Scent Pumpkin Spice Scents remind me of Fall/Winter.
  14. Take a break. When I feel like I'm getting burnt out I take a small break and go back and tackle the task.
  15. Yep, not really good sellers. I did sell what I had but it took a very long time to sell them all.
  16. Thanks, I'm going to have to check it out. I have yet to find a Great Watermelon.
  17. I've had a few problems with some FO's to. I would try to use less FO, and if that didn't work maybe try a different supplier for those FO's.
  18. Really nice, I wish my swirls looked that good, although I don't like lavender I do have to say those soaps look really good.
  19. Pop your Melts in the freezer for a few min. and they'll pop out. I did the same thing with GG.
  20. Most Vanilla's don't bind well in wax, maybe try to pour your FO in while your wax is hotter will help with your vanilla or you could try another vanilla to see if it would work better. Heck some soy fo's don't work well in my soy so you can't go by that. Even with just making Melts, it's not a cheap Hobby or Business. You must test each new scent even if you buy from a supplier and they have worked for you the next one might not. You got alot of good advice I thought that I would just throw somethings out there. Good Luck!!
  21. I've been making candles for 4 years now and I do as islandgirl does. It's best to test candles each season to.
  22. I am so lovin Peaks, they offer Fed Ex Shipping now and I get my stuff in less time than I did before with UPS. Although the Fed Ex guy isn't as good looking as my UPS man, I'm still lovin getting my stuff faster. :smiley2:
  23. I use alot of their oils, it's no secret. I haven't tried alot of their newer ones but then again they have alot to choose from. I'm sure you wont be disapointed at all if you ordered from them. Mardis Gras and Butterfly Hugs are really good throwers in my soy wax. White Zifandel smells delicious.
  24. NG's Sugar Cookie is the best in my soy wax
