  1. I will be making stock, I'm sick of making orders as they come in. It's just to time consuming. That also means packaging them to. And try and tweak my body butter, it's still flipping greasy. Way to greasy for my liking. You know a beer doesn't sound bad right about now, Mindy
  2. I have to make over a 100 tarts for some orders that are due Monday. Scent wise I'll be pouring. Lilac The Upper (my own blend) Apple Pie Blueberry Wedding Cake Cucumber Melon and some others that I can't think of right now. Mindy
  3. I've never bought mine from WSP, but that would be a good starting point till someone does another co op on here. Or you could as on the classified section to see if anybody has any extra they might want to get rid of. Bags, what type of bags are you looking for? Cello bags, Nashville wraps has variety but if you order the minimum you get charged a handling fee on top of the shipping. If you go to your local dollar store or party place you could find alot of nice cello bags. And also there is Cello In a Box on the net, they have a nice variety of cello bags, they don't have a minimum, and they accept paypal. I'm in no way shape or form affliated with them, I do buy from them because I love their spring floral bags that I can't find anywhere else on the net. Knock on wood, I have never had problems with a chemical smell with my clamshells yet and I have been using them for almost 3 yrs. Mindy
  4. I just don't see how you could of tested candles and melts within weeks. Did you start making candles/melts before you joined this forum? How many scents have you tested? Although Melts are fairly easy to make, it should take at least a week to see if the FO works well in the Melt. Maybe I'm just odd, but if my melts don't last at least 3 days to a week I don't carry that scent. Mindy
  5. I think you should go for it, the smaller items will do well. I sell mainly Melts (tarts), 4 oz container, and Air Fresheners the most. Your Melts are a consumable products, I have many customers that order weekly from me. Even though some of my Melts last a week they change them up daily. Once you've been there you'll build up your reputation and you'll have customers buying from you. Mindy
  6. It's been snowing all day, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. I cleaned out my candle stuff and relized I have a whole bunch of stuff that I could be playing with. So this weekend between cleaning my carpets and washing clothes. B&B wise I will be tweaking my body butter recipe for the umpteenth time and possibly making some bath melts. Candle wise I will be testing my wickless jars and pouring candles in my new jars for testing during the week. Mindy
  7. That looks so nice, I wish mine would look like that.
  8. Downstairs I have Grandma's Kitchen burning and upstairs in my tart warmer I have Cucumber Mist.
  9. Well since you can't can't put more FO in your wax there are a few things you can do. Such as testing different wicks, put less FO in your wax, or you can buy that scent from another supplier to test. Have you tested that scent at .5 or 1 oz per lb before you went with 1.5oz a lb? Mindy
  10. In my kitchen tart warmer I have Peach Jam Cheesecake, it's kicking butt in my kitchen. Reminder to self need to cut back on this scent. Upstairs in my other tart warmer I have Orange Cantaloupe it's a light scent but smells good. Mindy
  11. My selling point is to actually get my product into the potential buyers hands. At shows, I have a basket full of try me Melts. 9 times out of 10 they come back because they smell so darn good and they want to try them. At the stores I have my flyers at, I attach a little sample to the flyer. I don't bad mouth the big companies, because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't of started making candles. But I do like to hear that my stuff is better than theirs. Mindy
  12. Raspberry Sorbet from NG is really good in my 415 wax. Mindy
  13. I know for a fact a supplier had molds for sale to make those. But cost $100. I haven't seen one around for a few yrs. though. I heard they were a mess to make. Mindy
  14. Fillmore Container has them but they do have a $40 minimum purchase price (I'm pretty sure they do).
  15. Lots of playing around this weekend. I'll be testing some new scents in my Melt wax. Spiced Apples & Peaches Stormwatch Tropical Tuberose Coconut Banana Blast Ocean Orange Cantaloupe Watermelon Also will be playing around with some new molds I bought. And last but not least I'll be tweaking my body butter recipe so it wont be so greasy. Mindy
  16. I am soooo there, Washington is only like a little over an hr. drive for me. I am so stoked maybe me and hotmama2700 can come together. Going to have to call her. Mindy
  17. I'm a little late but I ordered lots of stuff to make some B&B so I'm playing the waiting game. But I did have to make over 40 tarts of course single ones, I'm still not done. Ohwell, I needed some stock in those scents. Not doing anything for the superbowl, we are to achy and tired to do anything here. Mindy
  18. Those are some cool looking soaps, I bet they smell good to.
  19. I would buy FO's from the place you are buying your wax to start then move on from there. More than likely they tested their FO's in that wax. Personally everybody on the list that CB gave you is great. Some I haven't tried yet and most I love. Honestly you'll never find just 1 supplier that your happy with. Even though some come close there still is that 1 FO that you'll find elsewhere that you like better. Have fun and Good Luck, Mindy
  20. I couldn't find Waterfall Mist on their site so they must of discontinued it. Doesn anybody know of one similar? TIA, Mindy
  21. These are the ones that are selling right now Sex on the beach Love Spell Butt naked Hansel & Gretal Sunwashed Linen
  22. I agree with Stella there are tons of threads that deal with 415 wax. You'll learn alot from those threads. But on a side note, I've been using 415 for almost 3 yrs. I'm guessing when you say growth your talking about the cauliflower look after it burns. With any type of wax your going to have to test through out the yr. to see what happens with your candles. You just have to look for the same things as if you are testing any other wax. If you aren't dyeing your candles, don't think that you don't have frost, it's there but it isn't as noticable, as if you had colored it. 415 is finicky once you think you have it down packed, something else will arise. My opinion is if you can get used to bumpy tops, the cauliflower look, and frost. Then this is the perfect wax for you. Mindy
  23. I thought that to packaging wise, thanks. Thanks Voi, I think I will call her to see what her cakes going to look like. But do you guys think tart or maybe soap? Mindy:smiley2:
  24. Didn't know exactly where to post this, so if it's in the wrong place please move it. Thanks. I have a request for 275 wedding cake favors, the MIL loves my tarts so she suggested that the bride contact me. I found a few molds that I liked, I was wondering how I could incorperate her color yes 1 color into the cake candle. Her color is Mocha. The cake I like has roses on top of it, but I don't want to put brown roses on top of the cake it will look like crap, lol. Then I got to thinking should I make this cake a tart, or test a wick in it, or should I make it soap?? The bride doesn't seem to interested in the favors, just wants something affordable, cheap, and pretty. What would you do? Each 3 Tier cake would be 2oz. Scented Wedding Cake of course. Mindy
