  1. Gross, I think their scents are to strong but don't last that long. That's where my tarts come in they are strong but not overbearing and last longer. That's what you should want
  2. You should of did a search on them before ordering. I've been using them for years and never got an invoice, I usually estimated the shipping. I've had some issues with warmers not being available when I ordered but never had a major problem with it.
  3. I hate to state what my customers might like because it's usually the total opposite of what I like or think will sell well. Like for instance Fruity scents like strawberry, watermelon, honey dew were very popular this time last yr. My recent orders have been for tulip, blueberry, sugar cookie, and pumpkin spice lol..
  4. Well it says prices to change without notice, looks like they decided after your order to tack on more money. I would feel ripped off and wouldn't pay it.
  5. A floral, vanilla, spice, fruit, and clean scent. Can't go wrong with any of those types of scents.
  6. Dang it no, I'm not trademarked.. I guess it really shouldn't bother me at all our logos aren't the same it's kinda funny though when I first started out I had almost the identical logo though but thought it was to scary looking so I changed it. I do think I'm going to trademark my name. Can you trademark a logo? I don't have that domain either, I just have the one with a K. I just checked it's going to go up for Auction you best bet I'm going to be bidding on that one.
  7. They have an etsy page but not a .com. They just started etsy and I did etsy in 2009 but don't have anything recent on it. What are my options?? I spell Candles with a K and they spell candles with a C that's the only difference between them. It's just to close for comfort. I've been in business for 7 years using that name.
  8. Where were you 5 years ago when I was looking for a scent like that, lol.. Now I have to try it out and see.
  9. I looked at I think Sunshine but shipping would kill me it was like $25 no matter how much I ordered. Does anyone know of other suppliers??
  10. We used to call people that had hundreds of FO's FOHO's, lol..
  11. I like that one, think I might try one for my bathroom.
  12. Nevermind. I did a search and you can use about anything for a label. So I decided to use my brown labels that I had on hand. I used color but I'm thinking of just making these candles non colored.
  13. I don't know what Swan Creeks smells like but you could try Natures Garden, I think they ship internationally.
  14. I'll have to try that myself, hopefully that one will work.
  15. I haven't read through all the posts but have you tried Celestial Sea from Moonworks? This is the scent description: This bold and brisk water fragrance opens with a salty, ozonic sea spray but what develops is an ocean musk built from sea moss, driftwood and sand. Hidden but slightly evident are crisp notes of soft violet, jasmine and lily rose that give the otherwise stout fragrance a delicate clean character. Doesn't work in my wax which is a blend I made up so I don't use it. Wish it did though, it smelled really nice.
  16. What kind of label do you use? Do you use a label or something else? Also do you color your candles or leave them white since the jar is grubby?
  17. I was thinking that the hotplate one would be better because you don't have to worry about your light bulb burning out and getting new ones. I had one customer that was going through light bulbs like they were going out of style. I thought maybe something was wrong with the warmer so I gave her another one and it was the same thing. Here she had it on 24/7 ahhhhh.. That's a seperate issue but still she kept buying light bulb after light bulb and eventually bought the hot plate warmer because of that. So I was thinking would it be better to just carry one over the other.. I think I'm going to stay with both till I can get a better result of which one to carry over the other selling wise. Thank you to all who participated, I myself prefer the hot plate one too.
  18. cool I've been reading up on other candle bloggers and it's the same old same old.. I was trying to think of something new and different..
  19. I used to have a blog but stopped doing it because I didn't have the time for it but now I do. Other than posting sales, new products, etc.. What else do you post? Especially to get interaction with your customers.
  20. So far the hot plates are winning. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet.
  21. The light bulb ones or the hot plate ones with the plate?? I'm thinking about just selling one type. I can't go by sales because I sold exactly the same amount of each one this year. Last year I sold more hot plate ones and the year before that the light bulb ones.. I know that there are way more designs with the bulb ones than there are with the hot plate ones. So I dont' know which one to choose.
  22. Whatever your cost x2 or 3 if you think it's not enough. It's just like how you figured it out for your candles.
  23. Do you ship within 48 hrs when ordered or do you have a 3-5 day processing?? You contradict yourself the whole first page. Like when you say soy candles but then explain that you use a blend just put candles instead in the first paragraph.
