  1. I've been using constant contact, I like it a lot. Was doing out of my email acct and it was a pain in the rear.
  2. Okay I'm in on the white elephant. Yes, Tanna is my name. I'm leaving Saturday after the conference too, so Fri night is great. So I bring one thing, preferably hand-made, and wrapped. Hope I got that right!
  3. Sure! what are the guidelines of what to bring and when is it taking place? Do I wrap it? I'm soooo in the dark, LOL. Also if any of y'all know if any of the vendors are selling 9 oz hex jars at the conference, I need some in a bad way.
  4. I registered so late I'm not sure what I can still get in on. What is the white elephant exhange? I wanted to participate in the goodie bag swap or whatever its called too but havn't received any info.
  5. I had this problem with straight C3 a lot. Mixing with paraffin it is not so bad. At 75/25 or 80/20 (soy/paraffin) most but not all will blend without that mottling. I really wanted to go straight soy starting out but the cosmetics of it turned me off.
  6. Did they switch to 415? Because I remember a thread a long time ago here that when Ergo did facility tours and there were pictures the wax was C1 by Cargill. I've also been told by a supplier who I shall not name that they knew they used C1, and they do a two-pour.
  7. Not all paraffins candles are that sooty, you might want to point out to your boss that you are not experienced in paraffin (at least that is the impression I got from your post) and that your one candle is not indicative that all paraffin candles are going to set off smoke alarms.
  8. The body spray base at KY is great, most FOs blend great and stay clear.
  9. I've had once incidence where a jar broke, but it was a tester jar with an unsecured wick and the wick had tilted to the side and overheated the glass. Was her wick off center? If it was brand new probably not, but if she had burned it several times and maybe it wandered and she didn't center it?
  10. Me too, I don't have time now either and didn't want to hold a sample for too long. Soy votives can be such a pain. I was even thinking of going to a paraffin votive wax. Anxious to hear how this does.
  11. mostly red, little black and yellow added. I can't tell you how many mauve candles I made until I did this combo
  12. I get them from Riekes Glass in Dallas. The lids are sold separately. They have a $250 order min though
  13. LOL, that made me spit I laughed so hard! I made a batch of these for myself and I really like them. I think I made too big of chunks though as I built up a ring around my tub but my skin feels so much better with this than with a bubble bath. So thanks for the recipe! -Tanna
  14. not sure how dry that would be. I've tried cyclomethicone, it goes on pretty dry. VCO worked okay.
  15. Some work in soy, some don't. She has some great fragrances and yes you can use a lot less.
  16. I guess since I grew up in the Northwest I'd have to say pine
  17. Tennessee candle's Lavender is wonderful.
  18. I use brown, black and red -- the red will counteract the greenish tint you were getting.
  19. I think they look nice. Personally, I would have the scent name and "soy candle" in different style and size fonts from each other, maybe a line between the two.
  20. If you don't get a resale cert most suppliers in TX will charge you sales tax on your supplies. something to keep in mind.
