One day I'll be able to make rustics that look as good as those........in my dreams!

I tried making a star shaped one yesterday....lets just call it a disa-star.

I'm thinking of producing several like it & calling them my new range lol.

It's fun trying tho'.

Sally.

Sally, what happened? Truly, rustics are not difficult. It's a matter of having the right wax and getting the technique down. It's all in the timing. The layer must be not too soft and not too hard before you pour the next.

I do a lot of layers, so they are not that thick. I pour, slosh the wax, then set the timer for 10 minutes. When the bell rings, I color the next layer and wait for it to cool to 150, then pour and slosh, set the timer again. They do take a long time, and you have to be ready to jump when that timer goes off but they are not hard. Takes some practice, that's all.

HTH,
