I've been making these and using them for years. I use them in my fireplace insert. They melt all over the bottom but it goes away. They are WONDERFUL. I dip the pineconess in wax (cloudy so it gets a good coat) and put them on top of the paper/kindling. They're wonderful!

Depending on where they live, it may get too hot in the car and the wax would liquidfy. If that occurs, the wax could spill and cause a mess in the car. I myself would stick with aroma beads or the scented pressed board. Hope that helps. -

It's a great thing to do with left over wax! I love using these! Your's are pretty and I'm sure look very nice by the fireplace.

I use these as fire-starters. Just tie some wick in there and dip. I wait til the wax starts to set, then dip a few times. (I melt old wax) Or, you can do like snow says, and add color and cinnimon to your wax and dip a few times. Place them in a basket and they look real nice!

Yeah, the heat gun doesn't have as much air blowing, it will just melt the top and once that sets, the candle will look nice. (I wouldn't recommend a blow dryer) hth
