  1. Thank you both for the suggestions. I have some sugar cookie and red hot cinnamon and vanilla. I will try those. I normall use Lonestar's Cinnamon Buns. It is awesome. But I just don't want to place another order this close to the end of the season. I'm trying to save up for Christmas. Thanks again!

  3. I am almost out of my cinnabun fragrance oil and just got an order for three cinnabun candles. Any suggestions of mixing? Maybe birthday cake and cinnamon? I also have some of Berts Oatmeal Cinnamon crunch that I could use. TIA
  4. First off, CONGRATS to Mr and Mrs Prairieannie. Not alot in the pot this weekend. These are the scents that will be filling my home: Pina Colada Ocean Clean Cotton Cool Water Orange Spice Lemon Drop Warm Vanilla Sugar Apple Pie Good Luck to all who have shows.

  6. Thank you all for your expertise. Maybe I did wait too long between layers. And from the looks of mine compared to some of the beauties I've seen here, I need to pour thinner layers. They did turn out pretty though IMHO. I will post a pic when my camera is charged back up. Thanks again
  7. Hi e....I am trying my hand at layered rustics such as the beautiful ones you make. I am using 1343 wax, no additives, .75 oz fo pp. I heat to 190 add fo then cool to 150-155 and pour. My question is this. My layers arent adhered real well to one another. Do you have any suggestions to rememdy this? I thought pouring hotter would help, but am afraid it will ruin the rustic. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  8. I just got 10 of these yesterday. Haven't had time to test them yet. I will do them this weekend. Did you single wick or double wick?
  9. LOL:laugh2: I don't even get to use DH's cordless drill to drill my wick holes. And I bought it for him as a Christmas present!!!!
  10. Oh dear....do I dare ask how you might know this? LOL I think any seasoned candle maker has been burnt a time or two on their heat gun. Then we learn to be more careful. Hope it didnt leave scars. I picked mine up by the barrel one day. :embarasse I've not done it since.

  13. I have stumbled into the great world of votives and face an issue. I want to shrink wrap them. I am thinking of getting the tubing. Should I get 2" or 4"? Or should I get little tiny shrink wrap bags? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA:D
  14. Those are beautiful. You are so talented.
  15. Simply gorgeous!!! May I ask what wax you used for your rustics?
  16. Hi Cathy, I live in SE Ohio too....Marietta. Unfortunately I don't know of anyplace nearby that sells 4627. There is a place up in Canton http://www.ohiocandlesandsupplies.com/home1.html and another down in South Point Ohio http://www.juliescandles.com but neither of them sell 4627. However, Julie is wonderful to deal with. I just started using her soy blend this year and she has been great helping me work out the kinks. I went to visit her little store today and she is the sweetest thing! Anyways, good luck with your search! Jenny
  17. I totally sympathize with you. Mine is headaches and stuffiness. I've been pouring almost non stop each day for the past two weeks until this past Saturday. I took a break and cleaned all day, lol. No headache or stuffiness. Yesterday I poured 3 dozen jelly jars in five different scents and by the time I got to carrot cake, I wanted to lay down and die for a while. I'm pouring lots of spicy stuff for craft shows right now. I think that irritates it....and what a shame, because red hot cinnamon is my favorite. Right now I am trying out my new loaf molds. One is 3 wick and the other is 5 wick. I did both of those in harvest. Yep, you guessed it! HEADACHE! My advice....take a 2-3 day break. Do not pour, sniff, or burn candles. If your symptoms clear, you have your answer. Good luck, and hope you feel better soon.
  18. I'm just getting ready for my fall shows. In my pot this weekend will be Pecan Pie, Bayberry, Red Hot Cinnamon, and Victorian Vanilla. I just finished a dozen jelly jars of Harvest, so I better get busy. I'm doing at least five shows this fall. wooo hoooo!
