  2. I would love to crochet a blanket or something. I always start great doing ONE LINE lol. Its keeping it going that just doesnt look well with me. Is there a dummies link to watch how to do it the right way that dumbs it down for me ?? Any helpful hints? Thanks in advance
  3. btw if you sell those pillars at 4.50 , you wont be in business long because you will never ever make money that way .
  4. Exactly what Karen said above. Didnt you just start making things in beginning of Feb and already selling on a website? I am not trying to pick on you, I just have seen this so many times. The pillar is gorgeous, dont get me wrong. The picture of your votives on the page- your ereally need to do another pour on those - huge sink on the top which can actually make your votives burn wrong. Rule of thumb for selling is whatever it cost to make including fo, wax, wick, packaging , labels etc is you multiply by 2 for a wholesale and retail is x 3. I know you said you are just selling to friends and family, but until you have tested everything and have it perfect, you do not want to sell at all. Friends and family will sue you quick is something goes wrong . Just worried as I am sure others are. Not trying to start trouble and again, your pillar is very good looking.. Just slow down and take your time and enjoy. What insurance do you have ? You should be insured before you even sell a tealight. Just my opinion. Please dont take it the wrong way..
  5. beautiful. Do you sell yet? Website? You can pm. I love pillars
  6. Nice.. I am concerned though. Went to your website and you are only charging $ 4.50 for a 2 x 6.5 pillar. why so cheap ??
  7. Pamlaura- message me please ;)

  8. Needing some home made stuff this year to purchase for Christmas Gifts. I rather give you all the money vs a big company. If you sell home made stuff that is outside of candles/soaps maybe like throws, jewerly, purses, etc please list your page here that I can check out and order. Thanks
  9. The cd 10's are working beautifully. Burning nice and slow and very even Carrot Cake from NG smells devine and its a popular scent with my customers. I want to test a few more scents with this before I start selling them on my site. I will probably offer them in 3-5 scents only
  10. cute. Love the pillars Great job. The containers, are the chunks container wax ?
  11. Chandlerwicks - I am feeling better except for some back, neck and lower back pains. As of today, its been 3 months since I got out of the hospital and I am 87.6 lbs lost Thanks Dolci
  12. I went with two cd 10's.. I may be way off on it but I will know by this weekend and let you know. If it was 3 wick I would have gone with 8's but gonna try 10's since there are only two. I may need to do 12's .. I'll keep you posted.
  13. Not too crazy about the color of it.. But what do you think?? This thing smells so good. Gotta test it over the weekend.
  14. I started as a hobby and grew into a business. I do fairly well but I cant say I make tons of money. I do tons on the internet with fundraisers for animal rescues so I get a lot of repeat business, but as long as I make enough to give to animals and have enough to replace my supplies , then I am in heaven. My husband makes a lot of money so if I ever come into trouble, he is always there to help me. I wanted a store front but dealing with health issues myself . I have lost 77.4 lbs since July 2nd gastric bypass yet my entire body hurts the more I lose. /sigh Pain management, vicodin and lots of sleep helps me get through it all. But I'm all about saving animals so I just keep plugging along. I'm very happy where my business is.
  15. I just ordered a grubby loaf mold .. For my cinnamon buns and cupcakes, I put them in a tin bottom. WHere I get those, they dont have the ones that will fit a loaf. Anyone makes these and can point me to where I can get the tin bottoms?? Thanks in advance Christina
  16. What's your name? Christina How old are you? 29 and holding.. OK 35 Where do you live? Virginia Beach, VA How long have you been making candles/soap/whatever? 2005 How did you get started making candles/soap/whatever? Decided to start doing it after realizing how much money I was dumping over to Yankee for candles that most of the time didnt burn all the way down and would leave film of wax around the jar. Since I was newly married ( 2nd time around) I wanted to be able to dabble in stuff at home and not have to work outside the house Are you married? Any kids? Married 7 years, My kids are furbabies. 5 dogs ( 1 rottie mix, 4 doxies) , 3 cats and 1 bird. If candle making isn't your primary job, what do you do? its my job Anything else we should know? I am huge into animal rescue working with several on fb. I spend countless hours helping rescues pull from shelters, contacting rescues about certain dogs in shelters that are on the PTS list. I do a bunch of fundraisers with them, donate to help those in need for animals etc. I just had gastric bypass July 2nd, and I have lost 73 lbs. If you don't like animals, the odds of us getting close are slim to none LOL
  17. Either listen to the advice that these people are giving you or hang it up sir. You will not get far in this group if you don't. And by god.. PLEASE do not get into soap making because you will FLUNK before you even buy a single thing to start. You not having insurance ,and selling to friends is very scary. You need to slow down and redo some things and read read read!
  18. I have a friend ( not a close one, just someone I met on FB) and even though she wants to buy from me, shipping is outrageous .. Can a few of you canadian vendors please pm me with your website so I can pass them on to her. Thanks
  19. These are awesome in my candlewic blend waxes. YUMMY to all of them. I just did a marathon testing with these suckers because I was so into them.
