  1. I like #4...color stands out nicely and the font is same as your standard labels so customers will recognize them as being yours
  2. That's too bad that WickIt no longer sends out sample bags anymore, but understandable considering the minimum amount they require for purchasing. Fillmore Container also sells Premiers.
  3. I prefer the 22w electric hot plate/ceramic bowl warmers over all others. The 25w bulb warmers are decent but I get better/longer ht from the hot plate style. As regards to the lightbulb warmers, the 25w takes a bit longer to start throwing but the 40w bulbs while start off strong, the ht doesn't seem to last near as long. I use a custom blend of soypara container wax with paraffin pillar, 10% fo load, last at least 10-12 hrs with continuous melting (using 2 cubes or 1.25oz scent shot).
  4. I had some melts sent to me in this fragrance and they were awesome....different and unique scent, threw very well in soy melts.
  5. I use the 20oz Claussen pickle jars all the time and love them...I can single or double wick them without a problem. I tried the 24oz before and prefer the shorter 20oz jars...just my personal preference. hth
  6. MrsM...while most agree on a 6% fo load, for soy 8% seems to work better for me as far as ct/ht goes and I've not had any problems wicking at that amount. It stands to reason on a 4" jar, that double wicking would be the way to go...might try 2-Pre 767. If you want to single wick, may I suggest a straight sided or mason jar no wider than 3 1/4"....the Pre 790 and 793 should work well with them. ECO's also work well with 464....hth.
  7. Azsunset...Premiers work well in 3022 but they do burn differently. They will burn down then out so the flame may appear too tall at first, but it will even out...hth.
  8. Wicksunlimited.com has an amazing wick guide that tells about each wick, their properties, and best application for that wick. Each wax, fo, amount of fo, etc is going to cause a wick to burn differently. Testing the same size CD and CDN in your wax with same fo and amount will give you a better idea of what you need for your application...hth.
  9. Those are SO pretty, love the shade of blue!
  10. In a 3" jar with C3, I use Pre790 and a 793 for heavier oils. The Pre 798 may make your jar very hot and you shouldn't need to double wick that sized jar. You may want to try tempering the wax first and/or adding a small amount of coconut oil to the wax for an 'easier' burn...hth.
  11. For my personal use, I poured some scents for Fall/Winter...we don't actually have seasons (Phoenix) but I try and pretend anyway. Here is what I poured... Peak Holiday Festival Peak Pear Spice Peak Peppermint Kiss ICS Bear Claws CS Apple Harvest CS Wildberry Mousse Lemon Marshmellow Winter's Whiskers (my blend of Mistletoe, Sugar Cookie, and Very Vanilla)
  12. I agree...ICS's is so good and throws great in any wax I put it in.
  13. Trappeur, I have an assortment of all the sizes of Premiers...if you would like some, pm me your address and I'll send you 4-5 sizes to try. I know WickIt sends out huge sample packs of the Premiers and you just pay shipping...I paid $5 but it's been awhile. May be worth it to give them a call...866-3WICKIT
  14. Hi Brad, No...there were no holes or tears on the packaging but the wax was definetely different, had splotches of pale yellow covering over it. Even though it was stored inside still sealed in original packaging, it is VERY hot through the summer months and it's anyone's guess what may have happened. Definetely a first for me though lol. I will however, check my wax as soon as it comes in before I store it from now on.
  15. Thanks everyone for your input...I learned something new out of this though, had no idea wax attracted critters lol.
  16. MrsM...I worked briefly with 464 and found ECOs do very well with it, have fun!!
  17. Chris is right...wax can only take so much fo and the quality of the fo is really important too. But if you're finding that most of your tarts are weak and/or don't last long, I suggest you play around with a few wax blends before you add extra fo....it can make a HUGE difference.
  18. Choose the one that gives the best burn especially if ht is comparable. Did one mushroom less than the other, have a more steady flame, did not smoke? These attributes make for a better candle. What works for one, may not work as well for another. So while we can suggest wicks, it will still depend largely on your own testing...hth.
  19. MrsM...CS carries CSN wicks (not the same as cdn) and those are made especially for palm wax, also RRDs should work well with it too. I've used C3 for years and it does need to be babied a bit but the ct/ht makes it worthwhile. If you temper the wax, you will have a better looking candle that burns nicely. Curious to hear how your testing is going
  20. I was in that bin a month ago and there were no ants at that time. The only thing I can think of is the veggie oils in the blend must've went bad or something, idk...weird. Pretty upset about having to trash all that wax though, now I'm afraid to order more :/ Dawn, let me know how yours is when you open it, very curious!
  21. Has this ever happened to anyone? I had 2-10lb slabs of 3022 still sealed in the cardboard box it was shipped in with packing tape, stored in a plastic, closed bin. I went to open a new slab and found the inside of container covered with black ants...I took it outside, sprayed all the ants, then opened up the sealed boxes and both slabs were just covered in ants. Needless to say, all 20lbs and bin were tossed into trash and a serious vacuuming and spraying commenced. This wax had been stored for about 3 months in my bdrm...I moved the bed, dresser, everything and I found no traces of food or wrappers or anything and only the wax had ants. Is it because the wax may have a blend of veggie oils? This never happened with C3 or the paraffins :/
  22. Grandma's Cupboard is the BEST Oatmeal Raisin Cookie...strong throw in soypara
  23. CDNs and Premier wicks work well for me in 3022.
  24. I do a 70/30 blend with Mistletoe and call it Log Cabin
