I use Ecosoya Adv and in my 16 oz jars with CS Pumpkin Souffle get a great burn with LX 26, HTP126, and Eco 12. Hope this helps

I use CBA and had the same issue...I lowered the pour temp quite a bit and found that took care of the problem

Trial and error as you know, found that CS fo's work well and following the manufacture's directions instead of suppliers directions made a big difference in ht...CBA just makes a beautiful candle and did not want to give up lol...I do use a slightly higher % load and cure time makes quite a difference in this wax as well. Angry at myself for creating all this unneccessary work but smaller wick is just not cutting it-I get a full melt pool but flame is too small and affects the ht....but to be clear the ht I get is NOT as strong as other soy candles I have smelled but to get a decent ht with the beautiful appearance of this soy makes me pretty happy

Same here, never any frosting issues at all with CBA...just consistently beautiful candles

:angry2: Got too excited over finally getting my scent throw right with CBA that I made 30 candles w/o testing each fo in wick and discovered I need to wick up on most that I used a higher% of fo...UGH...? is Can I remelt and repour each candle into a fresh, rewicked container and let cure again for 7-10 days and not affect the quality or original ht of candle?

I use canning jars for my 16 oz containers, but rectangular for my 10 oz (contemporary jars for bed/bath). The diameter is 3"...the reason I chose HTP is because its self wicking since most people don't really remember to trim the small bed/bath containers...the ECO wicks drowned out and are to unpredictable in this jar...maybe I should use the LX like I do in canning jars-really wanted self wicking tho

Would like your opinion...I am working with CBA in 10oz rectangle and testing the HTP104 and the HTP105. Here's my dilemma...the 104 gives a very slow burn with mp 1/4" deep in about 2 hours, low flame, low ht...whereas the 105 gives steadly flame and burn with same melt pool in about an hour BUT much better HT!! Which is more desirable...very low flame and slow burning or steady flame with great ht but fast burning? same jar, same fo amount, same cure time

From my experience-and this is testing with CBA soy-the HTP126 burns slower, tamer, and cooler than the HTP1212. HTP1212 produced much hotter and higher flame. Worked really well in 16 oz canning jars

For my CBA, I use 9% fo load and cure for 2 weeks to get the most out of it...use fo's from CS and so far have not been disappointed.

I let them cure for a minimum of 10 days-ht increases quite a bit from what I've been able to tell so far. There was a huge difference with LS's Autumn Pear..tested it after 48 hr cure time and nothing! Then today I lit another one that had been curing for 2 weeks and it fragranced my whole living room with vaulted ceilings

I agree on both counts, every soy has its own unique challenges and people love great smelling candles. But being stubborn, I will continue to try and make a near perfect candle-well, as long as my checking account allows it ; ) njcandle has a great idea about trying to get a list going for fo's that work in CBA...here's mine so far... Well I got up this morning and decided to test my last jar of LS's Autumn Pear, (it's been curing for 2 weeks now) and the HT is so much better! Guess it just needs a little more cure time in CBA.

Thanks...I'll try ordering a small amount and play with it. I get excellent cold throw but I'm still waiting for last batch of candles to cure before i test for HT. LS suggested the CBA over the Excel for better scent throw and it's been a non stop lab experiment trying to get the HT I want but have found CS fo's to work well in the CBA. Any tips on how to achieve a great looking and smelling candle using the 464? I use 16 ounce canning jars with LX wicks with the CBA and have not had a problem with melt pool or anything else other than strong ht. Any advice is appreciated...

thanks, I love the way my candles look with ecosoya-have not tried any other soy waxes. How do the candles look with 464? Do you get consistently good HT with 464?

would love to know your secret...Used 8.5% load, 2 week cure time and got no HT whatsoever! Really like the scent OOB but no luck in the Ecosoya : (

I agree...CBA produces beautiful candles. I get a nice HT from it but I add FO at 140 and pour at 115 and let cure for a week-9% FO load.
