  1. @Elegy The sandalwood from Aztec did not remind me of peanut butter at all. I tried both regular and cost revised. The cost revised is GOOD.
  2. Got mine today, yay! Here is my take on OOB sniffies: German choc cake: good! I can smell chocolate and coconut. Fireside: marshmallow sweetness and a touch of fruitiness and fireside. Not sure I would call this toasted marsh or fireside tho. Cedarwood: strong and true, smells just like EO Irish mocha; not sure what it should smell like but I LOVE it for my coffee line ..hope it throws in wax Twisted holiday: another great coffee scent , peppermint mocha exactly banana nut bread: this is ok, a little fake banana-ish. CS much better IMO Rose: very strong powdery rose Peach: weak, not peachy at all Georgia peach: a little peachiness, not as good as NG's peach perfection IMO Bayberry: strong, a little sweeter than I imagine for bayberry Calif. pomegranate: weak, ho hum, kind of sweet patchouli: smells true like EO not real strong but ok (I hate patch tho) hazelnut coffee: good coffee scent, not overpowering hazelnut Which would I buy again? The coffee ones for sure, IF they throw, and maybe the german chocolate cake @The Candle Nook thanks for the info. I use 464 too. Ususally 1 oz p.p. Maybe I will try tests with 1- 1/2 oz p.p I sure hope I don't have to use 2 oz per pound, not worth it when there are so many other good FO's out there. BTW I like CS's frank & myrhh, not too powdery
  3. Candlescience has an 8 ounce square mason with no embossing on 2 sides.
  4. I vote that you are amazing I think bone appetite is really cute, but I like the critters in #3 better. For sure the white font.
  5. @Elegy very curious how the coconut and nag champa does in wax. I ordered sandalwood too so I will let you know if I smell peanut butter EDIT: oops ordered sandalwood from aztec not AAA, but still will test for PB smell
  6. Thanks GailC! Have you ever tried CS lime cooler? Wondering how the limon compares. Does it have any bubbly 7up - ish ness? Is the mahogany spice a good mens scent? (I had this in my cart, but narrowed it down..dang it) Do you smell a little of each in the peach magnolia raspberry? that one sounds good...how'd I miss it. Will let you know when I get mine
  7. In the email from sks they said the increase on tins was a result of the tariffs
  8. Anyone else notice that prices are going way up? Wax up $10 for 50 pound box at CS. My M&P bulk soap base up $11 per 25 pound box , plus now only offering flat rate shipping which is higher for me, at BB. SKS sent an email that tins will go up 6 to 25%. USPS shipping up. I have been in business since 2011 and I've never seen such big jumps in price before. Of course we will have to pass these on to our customers. I haven't actually run numbers yet, but seems like I'd have to raise prices about a buck per candle, and buck for bar of soap. I don't think it will go over very well if I jump my prices that much, so that means taking a hit.
  9. For sure let's compare notes. Gotta be some keepers in here. (fingers crossed)🤞

  11. I've never smelled bright Crystal but it sounds nice. So does the NG fountain of youth. I would think the fountain of youth would be a little sweeter with the cantaloupe and apple. Maybe you could ask on the NG facebook page if anyone has compared the two. You got me thinking I want to try the Fountain of Youth next time I order from NG.
  12. Arch I have not used the fo's mentioned, but I have used American Soy Organics and they are great. A lot of the fo's are original enchanted lites. Some of my favs are Lemon cheesecake, pina colada, fruit slices, orange (EL originals). Driftwood and coconut, and blue sage and sea salt, both very good. I think these are ASO's There should be lots of old threads about EL if you care to look.
  13. sks bottles. they offer free shipping on $250 https://www.sks-bottle.com/Closeouts.html
  14. I mixed a bit of @TallTayl 's pink sugar with CS's golden rose. It made a lovely M&P soap.
  15. glass candy thermometers, because it's already in the pour pot
  16. Thanks Sarah, I forgot about Aztec, I will give that one a try.
  17. Bringing this back to life. I am hoping someone has some new favorites? Anyone tried NG's sacred sandalwood or plain sandalwood. What about candlesciene antique sandalwood or plain sandalwood.
  18. I think you are right on the money price wise. I sell my 3 oz clamshells for $4 I just call them wax melts. Hope you do well with them!
  19. If they don't pop right out, try pushing out a little on the scallop edges on opposite ends.
  20. I second what Forrest said. I love candlescience's tins.
  21. The best throwing and least complications for me is American Soy Organics millenium. Used to be Enchanted Lites millenium when I used it. I only switched to 464 because the millenium cost is too high, for me (after shipping). Not a big change from 464 as far as wicking and pour etc, just BETTER results, less cure time, prettier tops, etc etc. I really think you'd like it Trapp! Candlesoylutions sell it also. Pour is much cooler tho, at about 110
  22. Thanks @GoldieMN looks like there's lots of unusual shapes to choose from!
