  1. I think I've seen this topic discussed here but I can't find it when I do a search. I'm wondering which essential oils would be safe to use in lip balms? Thanks.
  2. Very nice. Can you tell me what you used to get your logo on the muslin bags? I ended up using transfer paper on mine and it doesn't quite match. Thanks.
  3. This is the place I buy mine from. I get 5 gallons for $30. If I remember correctly, shipping was about $10.00. http://www.honestfoods.com/topricbranoi.html
  4. I just put a beach size towel folded up over my mold if it doesn't start gelling in an hour or two.
  5. I use MS Picture It for designing my labels, save it and then create the size label I want in MS Word under the Labels and Envelopes. It allows me to make a custom size label. It then insure the label I made in Picture It.
  6. I just format it to fit a business card and print it on cardstock with the lines showing to have a guide. It's very easy to do. Yes, you can cut and paste.
  7. I put a hangtag on my wickless candles instead of a label on the bottom of the jar. In testing, the label got to hot and would come off. CAUTION: Use only with a UL approved electric candle warmer on a stable heat-resistant surface. Do not cover, add water or warm on stove. Remove lid and all labels before use. Wax and container can get very hot; do not touch or move container or warmer until completely cooled. Contains fragrance oils that can be toxic if ingested. Keep candle, cord, and unit out of reach of children and pets. Do not pour wax down the drain because it can clog pipes. Never leave melting candle unattended.
  8. I love purple so I'm really liking all of the different shades of purple and the graphic. IMO, you should make your email address smaller because it stands out more than the name. Some of the spacing needs to be fixed so you put a space the proper place. It should be - Bath, Body & Candle Boutique (937) 526-3987 Versailles, Ohio
  9. Haven't tried them, but have heard others say they aren't good.
  10. Trish, you might find something here. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/results.aspx?Scope=TC&Query=credit+application
  11. My co-workers have gone wild over my wickless candles, though I didn't intend to start out selling them. It all started when I took some of my wicked candles to work and placed them on a warmer because we can't have an open flame and they were so impressed by how they were able to smell it throughout the building that they started asking to buy them. I first made them using 8 oz jelly jars, but switched to 8 oz square mason jars because they melt much better than the jj's. I'm doing a craftshow in a couple of weeks of wickless candles w/warmers, electric warmers and a few other items. I'll post how it goes.
  12. Congratulations! Your products and display look very nice. I'm curious to now how well you did with the electric candles?
  13. That's a big difference but I've acutally always paid between $4.79 and $5.99 for the same lye when I can find it.
  14. I only been zapped once. I always use my soap about 5 days after making it because I just can't wait.
  15. I buy the kraft paperbags with handles. They have them at Michael's for $5.99 for 13 bags. They are quite reasonable with the 40% off coupons that come in the Sunday ad. You can also purchase them from www.nashvillewraps.com
  16. 1. My thought is that many people don't know that Ephesians is a book of the Bible. 2. My other thought is that Christians will buy your candle over others because they recognize it as being owned by a Christian. Personally I will go out of my way or pay more if I have to in order to support a Christian owned business just as long as the quality is there. 3. You many have been blessed in your business because you were bold enough to identify yourself as a Christian. Don't mess with it. 4. Like someone pointed out, you can have a line named just for wholesale accounts i.e. Thunder River Candles by Ephesians Soy Candles. 5. Lastly, pray about it.
  17. I said this was according to my kids. This is how the kids in high school describe a metrosexual. Actually the description coined by a journalist fits my gay friend to a 't' except he's gay.
  18. According to my kids, it is a hetrosexual man who is always primping and really goes overboard with the way he looks. Is always in front of the mirror and everything has to be just perfect.
  19. Lorrie is doing a co-op for Levine's if you are interested in getting some tart warmers.
