  1. I just got the same letter and came to CT just to see if anyone else had! I knew he was full of it, and thought it was hilarious. Especially when he said the candle scent was one I haven't poured in YEARS!
  2. I was going to say the same thing. I have 2 turkey fryers and LOVE them! They usually have great deals on them after the holidays!
  3. Beautiful Georgia! I absolutely adore the storm watch!!
  4. I'm sorry! I think you called/emailed when I was on vacation then I forgot to call you back! My busy season has started and I'm expecting to order soon but am hoping to wait long enough to see this new wax!!
  5. I'd be really interested in this new blend too, Brad. I'm probably going to need to order another pallet of wax in the next few months so hopefully it's available and I can test it before I have to reorder!
  6. Lovespell. Ew, ick, nasty. I used to love that scent but I guess I overdosed on it because now I get an instant headache! I can't stand most earthy scents, specifically patchouli so I don't carry them, lol.
  7. My recommendations: Clean Cotton Cool Citrus Basil Amish Harvest Cranberry Citrus Sweet Pea Jamaica Me Crazy Birthday Cake Mandarin Plum (I love this scent, although it doesn't sell for me) Blackberry Sage Casaba Mist
  8. Heck no, I paid someone to do it! LOL I had ideas but someone else put it together for me and I'm very happy with it.
  9. I've discontinued tarts, votives and tealights. They hardly sell for me at all and I hate making them so it works out well! I think I'm adding reed diffusers to see how they do. I think they'll work with my wholesale accounts so we'll see!
  10. I actually would like to post pictures of my work area because my dad and his friend built me the best table! My dad even wired (he's an electrician) the table so that I can plug my melters, heat gun, etc directly into where I'm working...but like everyone else, it's such a complete mess, I have no idea how I work in there. Maybe I'll actually get it organized so I can show it.
  11. Congratulations! I haven't figured out my sales yet, but I'm up as well. It sure does feel good! Nice job E!
  12. I love Peak! I actually cannot remember ever having any issues, but know that their customer service is amazing. Nachelle always responds to my emails super fast and I love that!
  13. 5 years ago, I was buying my candles from a lady on the other side of the country who hand poured them. They were fabulous!! I had never even burned a votive until I bought some of hers. I bought some adorable votive holders to decorate with then I the lady decided to stop making votives and tealights. I was so dissapointed because I just got these new holders, lol. I decided "how hard can it be?" and went to Michael's for a kit. Okay, so the kit was crap (like everyone else mentioned) and I went online and ordered a votive kit from Cierrra Candles. I was working on a batch when I realized I put too much vybar in. I had no idea what would happen to the votives, so I went to the internet to search for answers and found CT!! It didn't take long for the addiction to spread to other candles, plus my other candle lady quit making candles altogether. Eventually, I was inspired to do jars and then pillars (Thanks Scented and Tanya!) I started selling about a year later when my sister was working in a furniture store and took some of my pillars in. One of the furniture reps was in that day and wanted to know where to get some because he knew he could sell them. He took several to his trade shows, got a lot of orders then handed them to me and said good luck in my new wholesale adventure! I was not even close to prepared for that. I still do wholesale, but that has really tapered off this year (economy I'm hoping...) but I do a lot of fundraisers with my jars and that has kept me super busy this past fall. Oh! And I discontinued votives and tealights too...now I understand why my candle lady did too. What a PITA they are! LOL
  14. My fundraisers (jars) were up considerably. My wholesale accounts (pillars) were down considerably. I still sold more dollar wise overall though!
  15. First, I'd say that you need to tell the school that you will only accept the final order totals in the spreadsheet that you send them. Put that in your contract/agreement. You should not be responsible to adding/readding their totals to make sure they are right. IMO, you should get overall totals of how much of what to make. I don't seperate the orders either. I did have a large one that I seperated by teacher (4 classes) and that caused me the hugest problem ever.
