Amber romance has wax butterflies that are brown and tan with glitter, and the banana nut bread has wax cinnamon sticks, banana slices and walnuts. Yes they sell very well. I am making these for a gift shop in the hospital here. She said that her best sellers are candles with wax toppings that look like fruit, food, that type of thing.

Hi lightning bug! I didnt make the embeds, i got them from kandiesspecialtyshop.com and they are soooo cute!! She puts all the glitter on them, and makes the fruits and stuff look "sugared" I love them! Eventually I think I will try to make my own embeds also, but for now these work great! I am not sure what she uses for fake sugar, but I know you could use some silver type glitter that would look like sugar too. I posted pics now in the gallery! I didnt get them all though, will have to take the rest tomorrow when i can go back outside, doesnt take good pics indoors lol

Ok, here are some....but this camera is a cheapy and its really a pain in the butt, i had to go outside to get any decent pics. It has a glare, and also, it doesnt really show all the detail or the glitter or fake sugar so much. What are the difference between the metal and the plastic clear ones? Are the clear ones for using if you are just lighting the tealights without using them in a warmer? And the metal ones are for use in a warmer? Who uses what? Im thinking of getting some and wasnt sure what was best to use. Thanks!

Tonight I made several jar candles with embeds on top. I LOVE THEM!!! They are so fricken cute!! I am going to go to walmart soon and get a digital camera so I will post pics as soon as I can. The candles are 100% soy, no dye (other than the dyed embeds on top), and these are what I made: Pineapple Paradise (MC) 8 oz JJ with Wax Pineapple Chunks and fake sugar! Banana Nut Bread (JS) 8 oz JJ with Wax Banana Slices, Walnuts, Cinnamon Sticks and a lil sprinkle of ground cinnamon SO CUTE! Hazelnut Coffee (SBean) 8 oz JJ with Wax Coffee Beans! Vanilla Buttercream Crunch (JS) 8 oz JJ with Little mini wax yellow butter colored rosettes (they look like little butter dollaps!) Oatmeal Raisin Cookie (MC) 8 oz JJ with Mini fake sugar sprinkled cookies and raisins and all sprinkled with lil bit of ground cinnamon. Amber Romance (MC) 8 oz JJ with Beautiful wax butterflies colored in brown and tan sprinkled with lots of glitter! Strawberry Jam (MC) 8 oz JJ with Small Wax Strawberries and Sprinkled with fake sugar! Chestnuts & Brown Sugar (JS) 8 oz JJ with Wax mini walnuts and wax brown sugar crumble, and sprinkled with ground cinnamon! Super cute! Cinnamon Roll w/ Vanilla Icing (JS) 8 oz JJ with fake sugar and cinnamon sprinkled Mini cinnamon buns and wax cinnamon sticks, and all sprinkled in cinnamon! Blueberry Cobbler (JS) 8 oz JJ with wax Small Blueberries and lots of fake sugar! MAN these look SO cute! They smell heavenly! I cant wait to get a camera!! Just had to let you all know ahead of time, but i cant wait to show you!!

You could also tie some homespun fabric around the jar, which makes it look real cute. You can get that at walmart. Or a fabric store. :smiley2:

Those are really pretty. It looks like they are predyed wax pastilles. I dont know how you would do that yourself. But its really cute!

She probably uses a silicone mold. Im sure yours look really cute and unique being handmade though! You should post a picture!

Thanks to all of you! I think I might try those color crystals. And some of the chips to see what I like the best. They are a great price too. Only thing I dont like is they dont have examples of the colors. But I guess its kind of self explanatory. Oh well, will check these out as soon as I get a chance. Thanks! Im searching, and must not be using the right keywords or something, I know ive seen these threads before. But Im going to try dyeing my candles. Where is the best place to go, to get dyes? Should I use liquid, chips? Oh and also, do you think in the ky puresoy and the natural votive pillar blend....will they frost so much that they turn white? I dont mind frosting, just dont want them to completely lose color. I always used chips with paraffin but not sure what will work the best with soy. Please give me some info! Thanks!

I want a JUICY mouth watering watermelon scent, rather than the regular ol watermelon that smells like chapstick lol. I have tried the one from ICS and it to me smells like chapstick lol. Its kinda dull and no punch to it, I want to smell the juiciness lol. So who can tell me where to find it..? Thanks!

I really like those santa and gingerbread etc crocks those are really cute! I saw some at the dollar store too. But I wasnt sure if i wanted to mess with figuring out how to wick them LOL. Maybe I still will. They are all cute, but I really love those little crocks with the gingerbread and santa and rudolph tops. :smiley2: :smiley2:
