  1. I typed soap stamps in Google search and wa-la! Here is one of many (mostly all the same) http://www.brambleberry.com/stamps.html I saw some beautiful soaps on a website that were embossed and they looked very rustic and chic Still haven't poured 1 bar yet-I need to find a supplier close to home so I don't have to wait for the big brown truck:rolleyes2 Annie
  2. Hello All Making my first batch of M&P and I would like to emboss the bar with an initial. Do rubber stamps work? Thanks, Annie
  3. I am so impressed by all of the hard work and beautiful creations I've seen on this board. You should all pat yourselves on your backs. I can't wait until I get my supplies so I can start and post pics too! Happy Thanksgiving to all! Annie
  4. I'm not good at this, but with the rosemary and lemon, I am thinking Greece- Aegean Dream, Mediterranean Mood, Santorini..........I need a vacation.. Annie
  5. Forgot to ask if I can use the oil based FO I use in the soy candles for Melt and pour Soap? Annie
  6. Good Morning, I have decided to give soapmaking a try, but before I order anything, how do you get the look of, I guess you would call it marble? Or fudge swirl ice cream? Annie
  7. I haven't figured out how to post a pic yet, but I will as soon as I figure it out! Just spent a ton of money at fleximolds.....Thanks ( I think). I guess I can't even THINK about quitting my day job now! Annie
  8. Good Morning, I ran across a scent called "Cleopatra" has anyone ever heard of it? I found only one site where it is available http://southernscentsations.com/ It smells great! Annie
  9. Good Morning All, I just saw the cutest idea....Snowball tarts (I'm new, it may not be such a new idea to you guys : ) I will try and post the link http://thecandlebaker.com/home1.html I just tried it and it didn't work, you have to click on seasonal tarts... Any ideas on how to make these? This is what I did...don't laugh... Melted wax to 160, let cool to 150, added FO, poured into muffin tin, as it started to harden I took a spoon and started scraping and forming into a ball (yes, it was a little warm) and they look pretty darn cute. I am letting them harden, and tomorrow I will throw them (no pun intended) into the tart burner and hopefully they will melt and smell yummy! Annie
  10. Thanks so much for your responses! I had bought a few kits (bears, FO, Soy Wax etc.) and they turned out wonderfully, so I ordered 50 lbs. of soy wax and a few dozen bears thinking it would be smooth sailing .... First one I dipped today looks TERRIBLE! I am still experimenting, looking for a way to supplement my income. I even played around with making tarts, but I believe I need to start at the very beginning instead of jumping into this. I have been reading alot of the posts, and I have come to the conclusion that I don't know anything! I didn't realize what a big business candle making is! I will be a frequent poster, as I have 50 pounds of wax to use up.........or, being that I live in Florida, I can throw it off my lanai Xmas Eve and freak out my downstairs neighbor......................... Annie:yay:
  11. Hi My name is Annie, and I am just starting to do the Wax Dipped Bears. I just had a problem, and I can't seem to find an answer to, so I decided to post. Has anyone eve dipped a bear, and had the wax harden IMMEDIATELY? Maybe I didn't wait long enough for the wax to cool down, but after I added the fragrance, I dipped the bear, and as I was wringing it out, the was was hardening on my gloves and getting al over the bear. I am using ecosoya pillar wax. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated! Annie:grin2:
