  1. Berry Blast scented glycerine on Homemade Cheesecake scented goats milk. Thanks for looking!
  2. I used to do the crack of noon on occasion...then ABCFamily stopped airing Gilmore Girls at 11am eastern...now my whole life schedule is screwed. The 5 pm episode doesn't get me through...
  3. :yay:Beautiful! I think they are striking.
  4. I agree! Glad you are safe, and Einstein as well.

  6. :sad2:Keep us posted. I get so caught up in school and family, and I don't follow the updates like I wish I could. You always have a great take on what the legislators are sliding through. Thanks for your input, I truly value it.
  7. Hi, Steve. I'm just starting out with m&p as well. I ordered my first batch of clear from C&S, and just ordered some goat's milk from NG. The labeling on both 2lb. scored bars looks super similar, and both say Made in Canada on the labeling. Would you mind posting your ingredient list (photo would be amazing if possible) because curiosity is killing this cat. Also, I got two 2 lb bars from NG; they differe slightly in color...anyone have any input on that? TIA
  8. :yay:WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER! JUST TESTED MIDWEST CANDLE SUPPLY'S ORANGE DANISH IN TARTS/MELTS...am definitely adding this to my line, even if it only proves worthy wickless. Only had 1 oz. to play with, but at 1.5 oz. PP, it has wicked good throw with only 24 hour cure time. Now to wait for their 50% off FO special...
  9. Trudi, Do you happen to know if their Lilac is skin safe? Looking for a Lilac or even a White Lilac that is SS. Also, do you have a fragrance description for the Cannabis Rose on your site? I'm intrigued!
  10. This may sound like basic common sense, but I just want to say that I think it is super important that you test this on someone other than your skin-sensitive family member. I am new at B&B, but am giving my serious test products to friends/family with skin that doesn't react to general cosmetics/soaps. Just sayin':smiley2:.
  11. Agree with Carol, you should definitely read that thread before ordering. I have had lengthy waits in the past, but have also had orders that arrived within 48 hours:confused::confused:. It's a crapshoot. If you are just ordering to sample and aren't in a big rush, they are worth a try, particularly when they have the 50% off oils sales, which seems fairly frequent of late. HTH
  12. Love their Country Berry Hotcakes and the Strawberry Jam (truest strawberry scent I have found thus far) both are amazing in soy. I'm also testing 10 new scents from there; so far poured Black Forest Truffle with poor HT, poor CT, and poor HT in melts, which usually are super strong when I test at 1.5 oz pp. Today I poured Passionate Kisses (VS type) and was rocked...hoping it throws well hot; ct is superb. Also have recently poured Orange Danish, same goood results as the Passionate Kisses, but haven't tested it hot (letting them cure a bit). I also poured a small batch of Pineapple Cilantro; so far great on the CT; also must cure. Not sure if I can share this here, and mods please delete if needed, but I have a few of their oils listed in classies. HTH, and I'll update on the HT when I burn these babies, fingers crossed!
  13. My supplier confirmed the price increase, about $7.00 per 50 lb case. We just a faced $10.00 per case increase in early December.
  14. Thanks for the input! This is my first go at any type of B&B, so I'm looking for something I can just scent and color without any additives. I think I'll order a gallon and see how it works. Thanks again.
  15. Has anyone tried the gel from NG? I was just reading, and the price has been reduced to $13.99 per gallon! I'm just gathering samples to test now, and am curious if anyone has used this product and what the results were. TIA. http://www.candlepro.com/
  16. :smiley2:Can't wait to see pics of all these wonderful soaps. Since I am no where near skilled enough to try any of this, I do enjoy your pictures and posts...please keep them coming! BTW, the Lemon Poppyseed cp that Lorrie made me for Christmas is freaking amazing...sudsy bubbles of lemony goodness! I got a whole batch for just me, and I've only gifted out one bar (it was the smallest one, I'm coveting this soap). Not sure what recipe she used, but it is super sudsy, ultra soft on my skin, and smells great. You rock, Lorrie!
  17. Welcome to the fun! When I first started using CT, someone provided these links, which have proved to be super-duper valuable, particularly the link to the old forum. HTH, and good luck! http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=698 http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5492 It's also a good idea to keep detailed notes on formulas/recipes (my goal for 2011 is to transfer all this material to my laptop in some sort of organized format:laugh2::laugh2:) I keep my digital camera handy when I'm pouring to have a reference for colors, flame height, melt pool, etc.
  18. Perhaps you only want giant, global info. If you have it in your sights to outdo Yankee or Scentsy, best wishes. I was only trying to be nice...you'll get the feel of who will give TRADE SECRETS to newbies and hackers...sorry you misconstrued my kindness for weakness. Many of the people on this board who don't make their "living" selling are very much vested in this endeavor. Though my sales obviously don't matter to you, there must be members here who do, or you would NOT be here. Think about your posts, your audacity, and the reputation that will sail like the North wind here in rural Michigan. If you can "figure that out for yourself", why are you baiting this board?
  19. Excuse me if I seem redundant, but did you want to know what sells for us and how? That question leads me back to my ultimate pet peeve on this board; members who don't disclose location. Every bit of information is only relevant...by location. If you want me to tell you what sells during January in icy Michigan, don't you think I'd like to know where you are or your company is based? Obviously my sales are vastly different from an urban tropical location. I'm pretty much an open book on my little venture, but why share if you won't? Not trying to be a b*tch, but, in business it doesn't work that way.
  20. I am so curious to hear your results on this scent.:yay:I have read about it, but have yet to test it on skin...I have to go to the damn mall soon, and am sure some adorable gal with a nametag will spray my slow self (I just get all dreamy in any shopping venue). I am just wondering why it is called Poppy?
  21. Thought I was the only one who heard this freakish claim; my sister sells my clamshells and candles to many who work in the hospitality industry, and they claim my Cherry Almond products smell like Urine Mints (the disc in the urinals). I fell apart when first hearing this of one of my TOP SELLING scents...it's just a weird thing. Thanks for sharing, Deb.:lipsrseal
  22. :tiptoe::tiptoe:Had this same dilemma at one point, and decided to just "gift" the scent I didn't like to the tester. Damn if my tester didn't prove me wrong, and get the scent moving! Best gifting I ever did; her word of mouth advertising proved invaluable. I have a hard time with scents I don't LOVE, and want to dump them, even though my preferences are so predictable. It's hard, sometimes, to sniff outside the box! Good luck!
