  1. I'm not sure how Scentsy got more popular than Yankme....how did that happen??
  2. See, that's what I thought too about the portion cups when I started looking at them. Some of my own warmers won't hold a full cup. Okay so maybe I have to do some thinking about this. I would have to change my entire formula to make a softer melt IF I wanted to use the portion cups. the wax I use now for votives/melts is too hard to cut. This might just be a project for this winter ..hmmmm..
  3. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a decline in companies that are offering votives and likewise people that are buying them? I make votives and now I'm wondering if it's even worth the hassle of going through the process just to have them sit on a shelf. It seems consumers are leaning more toward jars and melts nowadays. And that's another thing too. I make fluted tarts, which it seems no one really makes anymore. My husband called them "old fashioned tarts" Now all you see is breakaway cubes (which I made YEARS ago and they never sold ......no one knew WTH they were) and portion cups. Hubby is a chef, he suggested I switch to portion cups, he thinks it's going to be alot easier and ALOT less messy. what do you guys think? Are votives and "scallop" or "fluted" tarts a dying breed?? Sorry if this was a little long winded :undecided
  4. going on 11 years. The way I look at it, you have the potential (in the right market) to make your business what you want it to be.
  5. Just got an email update: She surrendered the trademark................... "I am pleased to report that Ms Netti of Petunia Farms has submitted a "Surrender of Registration for Cancellation" for the trademark [soap Loaf] dated October 1, 2013 and has released this statement as an Open Letter on her website: "When I received my trademark for the term, Soap Loaf it was not with the intention to upset or harm the business of any other soap maker or manufacturer. I have therefore decided to surrender the trademark for "Soap Loaf " but of course will continue to create my much-loved line for all my loyal customers and do Thank you for your business and continued support. JoAnn Netti" Ms Netti's surrender of the Trademark "Soap Loaf", reflects great credit upon herself and shows exemplary strength of character. In so doing, her gracious Open Letter is well taken by all and we wish her the best of success in the future. For anyone who needs a copy of the legal document in order to regain good standing with their respective eCommerce platforms, you can contact Joann directly. Alternatively, I would be happy to forward the document to you. Thank you! Bonnie Garrity Good Earth Spa Bonnie@GoodEarthSpa.com"
  6. Ditto Pumpkin Creme Brulee!!! CT is fine, however HT literally smells like something burning. like not in a good way.
  7. I have used several, but always stuck with either Peak, BC and C&S. More so BC. They ALL smelled like that to me, I always thought it was just my nose!!
  8. Buttercream Frosting....smells like sour milk to me, BUT people love it.... Lavendar - never been a fan of it. AGAIN, people love it. Drakkar - for some unknown reason this scent used to fly off the shelf when I carried it. It made gag every time I poured it.
  9. PaGirl that is great news! See I told you it would pick up for you I just got an email from my ex's cousin - in - law (figure that one out! lol) she wanted an updated scent list to place an order for favors for her baby shower. 11. Anyone know how to get the "My Etsy Store" app on your Biz FB page? I've seen a few that have it linked but haven't been able to figure it out. It's in the blocks on the home page with the photos map notes etc.
  12. totally agree with Candybee. I have seen it every year since 2003 (on the old board). There are some I was actually wondering where they went like Robin in Oregon?? Where has she been? Haven't seen a post from her in years she was always very helpful and full of knowledge
  13. Me three!!! The closest I live to a supplier is 1/2 hr (C & S) and then about 45 min from Fillmore container. It's bad news for me.....lol especially when I don't work on Fridays!!!
