  1. Some of these scents like the Sweet Orange Chili Pepper we are adding to our regular line. The doctor actually told me the other day whatever I decided to bring in doesn't have to be "spa or aromatherapy" scents. she said whatever sells. she personally likes citrus scents. So its fair game ....
  2. So I poured Acai Berry, Sweet Orange Chili Pepper and Aloe Vera and Cucumber. Not impressed at all with Acai Berry to me it smells like grape. Aloe Vera and Cucumber is a little too perfumey for me burning. I really like Sweet Orange Chili Pepper now i am trying to get the coloring down for it. Not quite sure what shade of orange to do. Still have yet to pour the others....
  3. I agree with everyone the 8 oz. ....they are our best sellers too. Not too big ...not too small
  4. Just ordered it too! Plus a few others lol!!! I love that scent!
  5. I used my new one I just got a Kmart with this sale and noticed compared to older ones from at least 4 years ago the new ones are a little bit smaller. Am I crazy or has anyone else noticed this as well?
  6. ......Insurance......thats all I got to say......
  7. I have only bought from Candles and Supplies and I highly recommend them. We usually get everything there besides FO because its about an hour drive for us so we avoid shipping costs. As a matter of fact I am getting ready to drive there tday to pick some things up!! Stay warm everyone!
  8. We used to call ours "breakaway melties" LOL. they didn't sell so I haven't made them in probably 6 or 7 years??
  9. Yeesh! I wish you the best of luck with that! Just remember if you plan on selling candles you haven't thoroughly tested you may also want to invest in insurance just incase one of your candles burns someones house down....just sayin! That's an extremely short amount of time to test and then sell. I started out doing this as a hobby back in 2004 and didn't really start doing any serious selling until 2006/2007. I can honestly tell you candlemaking may look easy to some, but once you start really getting into it, it's not as simple as it looks. Best advice I can give you is do as much research as you possibly can and test like crazy! Good luck and keep everyone posted with your progress!!
  10. LOL!!! Yeah probably not a good idea with the triple K thing! I think it depends on what type of candles you are gearing toward if that makes sense? Primitive, Country, Modern??
  11. Hi Charlotte Hall!, I know where Chaddsford is, but I am in Berks County near Reading. I think your old neighborhood is more towards Philly?? I graduated from Twin Valley High School 1997 lol! I do know where that area is though!! Small world!
  12. Thank you so much for the reply Candybee, I have been using J223 for years and was just curious as to how this wax performs. Thanks again!
  13. Looks like the owner is Kim McCartney too, she has her FB page linked
  14. I would be so irritated! I hate when someone does this, like really? Definitely watermark your stuff! I think I will do the same!
  15. WOW!!! Hope everything worked out well for you!!!! would love to see pics if you have them!!
  16. I totally understand! To be honest, I have never gotten burned by the wax, however I did get a pretty nasty burn on my wrist from my heat gun one time. Go figure!
  17. Thanks for your help everyone ! Looks like i have a project ahead of me!! lol
  18. I guess it can be dangerous if your not careful. I have been doing it this way since 2004 lol and I there have been many many times I have had that pot filled to the max with 4 to 5 lbs of melted wax. It can be difficult to lift with that much in there, and it has spilled but only because I was trying to transfer it into the coffee can too quickly :/ I mean there's no right or wrong way to do it....whatever works best for you and you are most comfortable doing is the way to go!!
  19. See that's why I wanted to ask because I am not familiar with aromatherapy scents. Lot.any of the ones I listed.Although the doctor's MIL makes lotion and soaps and Patouli flys off the shelf
  20. Has anyone tried this wax? they claim it is a "super wax?"
  21. I have always just picked up the presto pot by the handles on the sides and poured the wax straight into my pour pot ( extra large coffee cans-i bend one side of them to make a "spout" for easier pouring into containers and molds). It's always worked for me, then I just wipe out the presto pot with paper towels or old socks/tshirts. I now have 6 presto pots lol I love them!
  22. Can someone please tell me what the equivalent of J223 is nowadays? I just discovered this is no longer being made I guess? I can't find it.
  23. Well I just got back from Kmart, new presto pot in hand! lol! I couldn't believe it! They are 34.99 regularly!! I might just have to buy a few more while they are still on sale!!!
