  1. This Saturday? I would but we have a show in St. Lawrence from 11 to 5 If all goes well maybe you can do next w/e too there (Renningers) and I will stop down then! It would be nice to put a face w/the name! lol
  2. Oh I know! When I had stopped there was 1 booth empty it was in a completely different section, perfect size and was only 180 a month or something. they gave me an application and everything. I was a cross between upset and angry when I got the same response. I was thinking how on earth can they get away with that? Isn't that like discrimination or something? lol
  3. YES!!!! Renningers on Noble Street in Kutztown? Is that where you are referring to because that's where I tried getting into. I literally work across the street 100 yards down from there. Oh that's crazy! Did you talk to someone in there? Did you get the same lame schpeel I did?? If you get a chance check out her shop - it's amazing I will give her that. but it takes up a large portion of an entire wing!
  4. Theres no way in the world they use J223. I use that for my jars and its a B!!ch cutting it into 1 lb slabs - it sticks to everything. Now they might use it in a blend with something else like a harder paraffin, but I really doubt they are using straight j223.
  5. So I just got my order today from Peaks and I had heard they are shipping from somewhere on the East Coast. What I didn't realize till I got the package today is it comes from Harrisburg! Which is like 1 hour away from me!!!! I get it in 1-2 days!!! Does anyone know if this is just a warehouse or an actual "location" that we can pick up from??
  6. Not sure I will have to take a whiff next time I'm at Walmart.
  7. I have the square one that holds 12 bars. I haven't had any problems with it thus far but that could always change :/
  8. I totally agree with Sherri. That's why I had said before we don't do Flea Markets, because that's exactly what they are. At least around here, and PA Girl you are local to me so you know. there are quite a few we have tried to sell at just for people to say "well, will you take X amount for this instead?" Sorry no its not junk, it's not a used item. I got tired of it. Willow Glenn Flea market in Sinking Spring and the big one they hold at Governor Mifflin Middle School in Shillington every month is notorious for this kind of thing. If where ever you are selling is working for you though stick with it. It depends alot on the crowd they draw too :/ The economy does seem like its getting better so hang in there!
  9. I'm not sure what you mean....does it smell burnt?
  10. Love the colors!! I wish I could mine that bright....are you using liquids?
  11. We don't ever do any shows between the months of roughly Feb. through September. I found people don't typically start buying candles until the cooler months and the holidays. We have tried spring/summer shows and they are awful. Good luck with the rest of this year!!
  12. thanks! I must say I am very pleased with how they came out. these are for our first show of the season next Saturday. They smell delicious!!
  13. Peaches & Cream Buttermilk Bar Strawberries & Cream Buttermilk Bar Hawaiian Paradise Goats Milk Bar
  14. Ugh, That's what I thought but I wanted to check to make sure before I rebatched it. Thanks so much Candybee!!!
  15. Okay I need some advice/opinions. I made a batch of 2 lb of MP last night and added Lemongrass EO from Brambleberry with 1 tablespoon of lemon zest for color. I added 2 tablespoons of EO and now I am wondering if I buggered it up because it to me seems really strong and I can't help but think the "general rule" for EO is 1 teaspoon PP not tablespoon. Do I need to rebatch this and add more MP to it to even things out or will it be fine?? I guess I should mention the batch has 1/2 cup goats milk, 2T shea and 1 T cocoa butter, plus olive oil and jojoba oil. It was I believe prairieannies recipes from one of the old threads.
  16. ooooo I forgot about Grandma's Kitchen lol see told ya there was a bunch I was forgetting about :undecided

  18. Wow what a load.... I'm ashamed to say I used to work for QVC (10 years ago). They could sell a penny to millionaire. All with there loads of crap and "talking things up" to sell them. SMH.....
  19. Anyone know if there's a dupe available for Yankme's Loves me loves me not??
  20. They are a good seller for us around Christmas time. People snatch them up for stocking stuffers and "teacher/boss/babysitter etc gifts". They are small and inexpensive gifts.
  21. What about some sort of metal work?? Like wrought iron? Is that even an option for you? Just a thought.....
