  1. Here are a couple of terrariums I did over the last week. They were fun to make and pretty easy.
  2. So I've been looking at making a massage oil and was researching a past post on the topic where the author of the post says she uses SWO. For the life of me I cant figure out what SWO is. Anyone know?
  3. I would not put any candles into a retail environment that I was unhappy with or knew were faulty. To do so would be promoting your business in a negative light and you dont want that. Wait untill you are 100% happy and then try selling them..not before.
  4. Hi Guys, So Im helping my sister get her homemade granola business off the ground and we are trying to come up with a name for it. So fare we have thought of: The Honest Crunch Sharon's Granola Sharon's Wild Oats Can you tell me which one you guys like best, also, if you can think of a great name and we end up using it, we will send you 1lb of the best granola you've ever tasted. Promise! Thanks all pixie
  5. Thats perfect! Thanks so much for sharing
  6. Does anyone know of a supplier near the Chicago area that carries SFIC base? We have Columbus Foods here but their base is not SFIC, and NuScents is not to far away but they carry the Stephenson brand I believe. Id like to try SFIC mp base, specifically their castile base. Thanks! pixie
  7. Ive never had luck with Vybar myself , for me it diminished ht. I have some to sell if anyone wants it. Think I have about a lb.
  8. I have tried many different kinds of cp soap with a wide variety of oils. I LOVE it for my body, the lather is awesome and the scents are lovely and I find it to be moisturizing yet cleansing. But I never use cp soap on my face. It definitely clogs pores..as least mine get clogged. I also tell my hubby and sons not to use it on their face.
  9. Although I think the skunks are cute, as a consumer, they would not entice me to buy something that is supposed to smell good. I also would not want to purchase anything with the name "stink" in it. Sorry...
  10. Just wondering, do the scentsy tarts "pop" outta the melt warmer once the wax is cool or does the wax need to be poured out when still warm? Scentsy is not real big in my area and I havent been able to try their stuff myself yet.
  11. Best wished to you Barncat! You certainly are brave as a show that size would intimidate me for sure. Would LOVE to see pics of your booth. Wishing you the best! pixie
  12. There are so many suppliers out there and Beth is right, they dont have anything you cant get elsewhere. I had an issue with them charging me more for shipping then what their web site quoted me, when I called to complain, the lady I spoke with was very rude to me. Buh, bye BCN.
  13. I would draw the line now and not give it a second thought.
  14. I think you can keep the name year round. You mentioned your business has a country theme so I think it has the perfect name already.
  15. Thanks for the replies. The soap cutter I bought from a guy in Missouri who makes them by hand and sells on etsy. I really love it and its a big upgrade from my old way of cutting soap. I would love to buy one of his wire soap cutters in the future. His name on etsy is "budhaffner".
  16. Hi Ivy and welcome to the group! Sounds like you have been super busy! All of your products sound really delicious. I am concentrating on cp soap, tarts and candles. Would love to move into scrubs and lotions but have more than enough to keep me occupied for now. I am in the process of making product for the coming spring and summer as I would like to try selling at a few craft shows. Sounds like you are already on your way to building a customer base. Good on you. Best wishes to you and happy crafting
  17. Im really liking those colors. They are so cheerful and pretty.
  18. Beautiful! You always have the prettiest soap.
  19. I have not tried RE or Catalinas base but I have tried the one from WSP. I will probably never use it as I can not stand the scent of it. I have tried covering it up with various EO's and FO's and no matter what I do, I can still smell it. It reminds me of the grease remover my dad would use on his hands after working on the car.
  20. You may want to try some of those scents in 415. While I find 464 to be easier to wick, the ht from 415 is stronger to my nose.
  21. Thank you rctvavr3, that sounds perfect!
  22. Jackbenimble, How do you go about finding wax groups on facebook? I have a facebook acct but dont know much about it and am horrible at navigating around it. Do I just put the word "wax" in the search engine?
