  1. Singleyellowrose - if you get a recipe that works would you mind sharing it? I have made a few versions - they were either too soft or too hard. I cant find one in the middle that I like yet. I am going to the gathering in PA (hopefully) and I will see what they do there too. But I like this idea - I have made them and given them to friends and coworkers to try and they liked them also. Thanks!
  2. Those are really cute. where did you find them? I would not mind having one for my house.
  3. Where are you in PA? I am in central PA. Just thought I would ask
  4. Thanks for the recipe. I have tried other ones too - and I liked them but I was looking for a softer type recipe. I am gonna give it a try. Thanks for all the input
  5. Thanks for the site - I didnt even know they had a website to look at stuff. I actually bought 2 of them - sorry didnt know what they were called. I love that store!!
  6. I have used a similar recipe. At first mine got hard also - then someone told me that I was heating my soap up too much. Try not heating your soap for so long. That helped with mine. They are still not soft - soft but they are not rock hard anymore. Does that make sense?
  7. Hello - I will be going again this year. I was one of the few PA people there last year and it was a nice time! They had great goodie bags and wonderful door prizes!! I hope this year is just as fun.
  8. They are very cute! and I bet they smell great too!
  9. LOL - but now you can understand why alot of new people - dont ask questions... you get reamed as Sharon put it. I just figure it this way.. we all have to learn one way or another and most people are willing to help out cause they remember they were also new to this at one point in time. I try not to take too much personally. I hope you dont either.
  10. They are cute and look like alot of work goes into them. I am lucky if mine look like soap lol. But very creative!
  11. I also made those years ago. They didnt smell for very long and they got icky (moldy) quickly. I would stick with the smelly jelly or something in that line. Sorry but at least you asked before you started them huh? lol
  12. I would love to have a recipe if you find one. I have only used a few items that helped and one was a seaweed soap that I bought a long time ago from a vender at a show and it helped. I have psoriasis and it is bad this time of the year. If you find anything out - I would love to be a tester for ya LOL. Good luck with your search!
  13. Ruina - explained them perfect. Some people like them cause they are a solid form. They seem to moisturize really well.
  14. They look very nice. The colored tags look nice also.
  15. That is really cute!! Looks almost good enough to eat!!
  16. By the way.. thanks for the great links. I have never been to the oak court creations before - they have some nice stuff. I will have to see what all I need before placing an order- but appreciate the info!
  17. the carded ones? I charge $2.50 The ornies I only charge $1.65 When I go to shows alot of people are selling the ornies and I can only get $1.65 for them but the carded ones - no one else seems to have them - so I get $2.50 each for them.
  18. I learned that lession also. I made some of the carded airfresheners and wanted to lay them on something to dry them completely. So I got a styrofoam plate and laid them on that. When I went back they had eaten thru the plate and were laying on the counter top!! Guess we have all done something like that at one time or another.
  19. what would be the recipe or mix for this? how much fo to how much olive oil? that sounds interesting and cheap to make. Has anyone made this? and what is your opinions? Thanks
  20. I have made them - I used the pre cut out ones (different shapes) and they sold good for me. The sachets with the beads and the corn cob sells better for me. They do smell great - I personally think they lasted a long time too. I would like to find some sheets of the material (cardboard or whatever it is). If anyone knows of where I can find them.. I would love to know. I bought mine from the classys - I only bought 10 or so of them - I wanted to do that before buying them to see how they did. I think I saw some on the classys - give them a try. Let me know how they work out for you! a few things to try.. easy stuff.. carpet freshener, and the sink freshener are fun things to do too.
  21. I have never tried them.. but I dont think they would work. I would stick to the metal ones. I think the plastic would melt. Sometimes I get the beads stuck in the metal ones - so I think they would kinda melt together. not sure.. just my opinion.
  22. I think I know what crayons you are talking about - she used a water bottle type ice cube mold. I loved those too and asked her about them. I have not tried them yet - that is on my larger and gettin larger to do list lol
  23. I have read on here that alot of people have gotten one at WalMart. Not sure of the model name. But it would save you on shipping. HTH
