  1. I put mine in cello bags and tie them off with strips of material - I try and find green and red for this time of the year. They are cute and still useable after the holidays. I hate to repackage things after the holiday. Material always sells good for me. I use the gingham material and that also looks nice and country-ish (lol)
  2. I use both also. I do like how easy they release from the silicone - but I have had no problems with the candy molds either. Plus people seem to love all the shapes. I try and use whatever is cheap! LOL
  3. Thanks so much for the info! I felt like an idiot asking! I am new to all this and was just NOT got getting it I guess. Now I do - thanks and I appreciate all the help! I love this site cause everyone is so helpful and nice!
  4. I dont have any coconut oil. I was just trying to find another type of oil that I had on hand - that I didnt need to order at this time. I think the only oils I have are grapeseed (not a solid), sweet almond (not a solid) can you give some examples of what solid oils are? and what brittle oils are? sorry.. I am new to all this. Thanks!
  5. What can you use in place of the 25% oil that is solid at room temp (i.e., coconut oil)?? Can you tell me this in measurments? I still dont have the conversion down yet.
  6. thanks so much for the info! I am going to see what all I can find under the recipes. I did make some bath melts from there - and they are WONDERFUL! Thanks for the tip!
  7. I have done the lazy way.. lol. I bought the base and then added the flavor to it. I was not sure how to make it. I am going to search the web and see what recipes I can come up with - I bought the base for the lib balms and to make the lotion bars.
  8. does it have a tray in the bottom to catch the wax? those are cute - I might have to get one too!
  9. I tried this recipe tonight - and then used one myself! OMG! I love them - I wish I would not have waited to make them! I am glad that I have time to add them to all the baskets that I have to make for the holidays! Thanks so much for this great recipe!!

  11. I clean my molds like that with soap and a old toothbrush. I have a hard time getting them clean without the brush. The metals ones I turn upside down in the oven set on warm and they cleans them out. Its easy to get addicted!! I have a ton of stuff now.. and I wanted to start out small.. well it was a good intention anyway! LOL
  12. Alot of stuff you have to buy on line. about the only thing I know you can buy in a store is the olive oil. I live in the country - you can find the amish that sell alot of the stuff too - just letting you know. I would look on the classifields for stuff.. that way you can get better shipping - and you wont have to buy such a large amount. Just a thought
  13. Not really a replacement either.. but a few ideas. How about making the ornies from the aroma beads? or taking the aroma beads and mixing with the corn cob - then putting them into organza bags, musslin bags, or hand made bags? I did the smelly jellies too - and found that they didnt sell well.. and they were always hard to take to shows. You could even put the beads and corn cob in a bowl and have it in a bag of some sort. Sorry.. just throwing some ideas at all. I sell tons of ornies and the sachet bags.
  14. I taught myself too. I got my first sewing machine at walmart. I got the middle of the line priced - as long as it had lots of different stitches etc I was set - cause I figured that I would need the great versions as I learned what I was doing. I still cant figure out patterns. I have tried - and its hard! LOL. But I can sew - I even made my own scrub tops - they turned out good too - but I still had trouble with the pattern. Just take a day and learn the machine and what it can do - from there you will be set! enjoy - its fun to make your own things!
  15. I have used candy molds and the ones from the dollar store. I use the ezsoy and have had no problems at all.
  16. That is more than a candle!! that is bringing a memory to life! very nice work - they will love and cherish them!
  17. I have one - I am happy with mine. The only bad part is you cant order from the site - the person has to email you with the order etc. They have alot of different styles to choose from. I thought I would try this out before I pay for one. Its easy to do and user friendly. HTH
  18. I did one of those and I believe I used 3 wicks. But I am not totally sure - and I cant find them in my notebook.
  19. you could always make fire starters with the extra wax.. I am like you I hate to waste or throw away stuff!
  20. Where is the cheapest place to buy citric acid on the net? and is there any place local that you can buy it from? Thanks!
  21. I have one and I use it for soy tarts. I also use it for oils. I dont use large tarts - but I keep it on med and it throws a good smell! Hope that helps!
  22. That is so cute! I bet she will love it!
  23. That is the same thing I did too. I just put them in a cello bag and a bag topper. They sold okay when I had them - but I still sell more sachets than I did those. But those are easy to make too.
  24. very cute! Wish I had the talent. That is why I buy them from the people who do lol
  25. If you buy the fleese on sale.. they are not that bad. Plus its something made by you. I think it would be a great gift. I have made a few of them. I made them smaller for a baby blanket and when I see her with the baby in it - it makes me smile!
