  1. I have Flowerbomb from Peak. Love it! I wouldn't use it in candles though, not cost effective. I use in it perfumes. Love love love it!
  2. Becky, thanks for quick reply! I am going to try it tonight!!
  3. Becky have you CP'd Coppertone? Just received mine and contemplating whether or not to CP it.

    Best base?

SFIC has come up with newer bases since when you last soaped. They now have a Palm-free base, and Organic bases. They are as good as the others. IMO it's still the best on the market. WSP has come up with some more natural soap bases but after testing them out I will stick to SFIC. Have you tried mixing the shaving soap with the goatmilk base or just adding goatsmilk to the shaving base? I think the closest you'll get to CP bases is still the low-sweat base. I don't particularly like working with them, but will do for some of my wholesale accounts due to shipping and their location which is high humidity.
  5. Prior to incorporating your mica into your soap base you can blend the micas with a small amount of glycerin or with RA. Once fully incorporated then place into your M&P base. You shouldn't have any specks this way.
  6. Slow cooker! Thrift stores have lots of them for cheap - you can purchase one for each type of soap you use- just keep them on warm.
  7. You can add glycerin to make it softer and pilable.
  8. Shrink Wrap it and then box it if you are selling online. It makes a very professional presentation. It protects the soap when shipping too.
  9. @Candybee - sorry with the late reply! Yes I just wash with hotwater to get the soap out. I turn the bag inside out and then wash off. I'm not sure why you're getting a runny mess. I make these cupcakes on regular basis and by the time it is done whipping it should be a sponge-like consistency. It's very gummy but not runny. Sorry you're having problems.
  10. I melt the soap and pour it into my mixer bowl and whip. It becomes very sponge-like and triples in size easily. It is a relatively easy process. When it's completely whipped I place in a frosting bag and pipe onto the cupcakes. Good luck!
  11. I cut about 24 hrs after I unmold. Use a mitre box with grooves and a cutter or a really sharp long, non-serrated knife. I have several mitre boxes (wood, metal, etc) and sometimes use a wavy cutter, straight cutter or a knife. It's a personal preference. Good luck!
  12. Brambleberry has the Vanilla Neutralizer. I've used both WSP and BB's with no differences (other than scent!)
  13. The reason you are seeing purchases from all over the world is because when hackers get your number they "sell" it to people around the world. Then those buyers use your card once or twice and dispose of it and purchase a new stolen number. Everyone be vigilant about reviewing your statements daily!
  14. I agree, get photos of it and a detailed description of how it "broke." More than likely she's fishing for a freebie.
  15. I usually keep about 100 lbs of soap base around, unless it's the holidays. Then I keep about 200 lbs on hand for special orders, last minute orders etc. I think it depends on what type of base(s) you use, where your supplier is located (I can usually get mine in 1-2 days), and how much business you generate. I've never had soap base sit for too long but I don't believe it goes bad. It's kind of like wax, I suppose.
