    aroma beads

I have never sold them in jars. I was not sure if people would pay that much for them. What I do is put them in a sachet bag and mix it with corn cob. I color the beads - each scent a different color and then scent the corn cob and mix them together. Mine sachets sell great this way and its a way to kinda stretch the aroma beads. Sorry I cant help you with the pricing.. just thought I would give you an idea of how else to use them.
  2. I think they are great! I never did CP soaps yet.. still in the M&P state.. maybe someday! But you have alot to be proud of! I think when you do a good job - you have the right to show it off! no one things you are being "I'm better than.." they are great on this site - I think everyone will be happy for you! You do nice work and you should show them off!! Congrats!

  7. I love the clothespin idea! I have a few that I had bought - but I am always having to wait till the candle is done before pouring another one - thanks for all the great tips!!
  8. Well I just got back from a show - and it was BAD! I made the cost of the table and a little more - but not much more! things are slow - a few people that I talked to didnt even make enough to cover the table. There were alot of people out - just no one buying much! What a bummer! what a way to start off the season. I have 2 more already paid for and booked this year - and then I think I am done. I am not going to seek out any more shows. Just not worth it!
  9. No but they sounds interesting. Let me know how they work for you! Good luck
  10. They look wonderful!! You do very nice work! You should be proud of all that you have done
  11. Lori640 Here is what I found.. I have to make them yet.. Table salt – Yellow flame – The grocery store. You can use the same stuff you fill your salt shaker with. Borax (sodium tetraborate) – Yellow-green flame – 20 mule team borax, in the laundry aisle. Salt substitute (potassium) – Violet flame – The grocery store Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) – White flame – A pharmacy Bright red flame – Strontium chloride – Used in aquarium keeping somehow, so check a speciality aquarium store. Boric acid – Deep red flame – Try the pharmacy. Hope that helps.
  12. I did the same thing - I didnt use wax paper - I mixed in a bowl and left it in that - then I put it into cello bags. One thing.. some of the scents make the mix turn brown/tan - not sure why. It still works cause I tried it - but it has a tan color to it. I think it was only the pumpkin pie scent.. not sure on that either. I sold a bunch of them at a show today - and they didnt mind it was tan/brown.
  13. Can you put rubber bands around them - just for the transport part.. then take them off after you get there? I would think of tape - but that can get sticky and hard to get off.
  14. Love the way you have them ready to sell. I never thought of that. I was using bags and the bakery type bags with the roll top - you could use the 4 oz cups too - for a "sample" size! Great idea~
  15. did you guys try the ones that change the fire flame colors? I was going to try them too - I think that would be a great seller too! What fun!! I get too many projects going at one time!! OH MY
  16. Dumb Question what is WSP? I have made these and they are great! They sell quick and are very easy to make. I just use the cheap cello bags for mine. I have found that some scents last longer and smell better than others. I heard that when I made the first batch - I think I made pumpkin pie - no one really smelled it - then I changed it and everyone loves them now! Try a different scent chrisasst! I did the same thing -
  17. I also make the melt and pour using the buff puffs - they sell great for me - and its so easy!
  18. Hawaiiansun.. do you use the quick oats? or the regular type? does it matter which type you use? I think that is a good idea! Thanks for the suggestion
  19. I take and mix half the amount of water first then I add the food coloring - then the rest of the water. I have also colored the jelly first before adding water at all.. but that kinda made some of it darker than others in spots. Try doing half the water then the coloring and see if that helps. I have heard that some people use liquid candle coloring - but that is expensive and I find this cheaper and it turns out good for me.
  20. Sure - plus they are such nice colors - they are a deep green, a mauve color, brown, black and I think a yellow - but its a real deep yellow. I didnt know they had them either.. then one day at either the dollar tree, big lots, or ollies I found them - I shop all those places alot lol.
  21. I also use food coloring. They never fade or change in color. Right now I found a set of the fall colors at our local dollar store - they have the nicest colors!! Plus you can always mix a few colors to create new colors too
  22. ASHEEBEANS.. will you contact me at swbw@windstream.net I have a question for you and I cant PM anyone yet.

  25. Where can I find a electric candle mold? I am looking for the smooth surface mold. Not the grubby style. Or does anyone know of a classifield forum that I can post that I am looking for one? Thanks for the info and help
