I live in Toledo and go there to get my glass containers for candles. I go there every couple of months, you can find some good deals on glass containers, especially around the Holidays. They also carry some unique items and they have a discounted area of discontinued items where I have found some great deals.

I don't know what area you live but I have found that I have to wick hotter in the Winter season in Ohio because of the colder temps. Just a thought

My pet peeve is placing a order on line it says in stock, never hear anything from the company, couple weeks later I email them and they reply oh it's out of stock it will be in by the 23rd of the month, time goes by it's Feb. ok email again, am totally ignored no response. I then decide to call of course it goes directly to voice mail so leave my name and number never get a call back. So then I file a complaint with Paypal since they have already received their money and 2 minutes after doing that low and behold I get a email.....still on backorder....they claim if they don't get the product in within a week they will refund me my money plus when the product comes in they will still send me the product no charge....yeah I will believe that when I see it

I ship to Puerto Rico it's not International it is US, you don't need any special paperwork.

I like KY's and NG's both are a true Lilac

I have been buying from NG for years, been very happy with almost everything I have purchased from them. Great throw in soy wax. I also buy their MP soap bases which have a very nice quality. Paradise Reef and Tahitian Waterfall are two of my favorite fragrances. I noticed someone mentioned Fresh Linen I must agree that's a good one too and Country Clothesline. Bite Me is also a good seller. Great customer service and fast shipping too. You won't be disappointed.

I make both and votives are smaller so the throw isn't as great unless in you burn in a small room. Try making and burning more than one, then burn them all at the same time I almost always get a nice throw, I burn like 6 at a time, plus I like the lighting effect you get when burning 6 or more.

Take your time and read about candle making as much as you can. There are lots of different types of wax out there and you really need to find the one that you are comfortable with using. I use KY's Soy125 for my jar candles, I like to use it because I don't have to add anything to it and I love the candles that it makes. Which ever one you end up choosing you will have to test, test, test. That's what it is all about, testing with different wicks, fragrance oils, colors everything effects how your candles burn..having patience and not giving up is the name of the game with candle making. I am really surprised that Yankee would tell you what they use, I think you will find better info on this site than asking a big manufacturer what they use. Some of my customers have mentioned that Yankee isn't that great anymore that they only get a good scent throw the first couple of burns and then no fragrance as the candle burns down.

I have to agree with Best2Bamerican, I have never heard of them either. I use cotton wicks with soy but I will have to look into these also.

I use a cinnamon and nutmeg mixture on my tarts, it grubbies them up a bit. Melting them is not a problem. I just sprinkle it on and them rub it into the tarts....

I have had the same thing happen when I mail candles to a customer in Maine, this time she said it even had tire tracks on the box...I always insure the candles but have been told not to mark fragile it seems to give the post office workers a reason to play football or bumper cars with it.

I really like NG's White Tea, very fresh light clean scent reminds me of a Spa. Also their Country Clothesline is another that my customers like it throws real well in Soy.
