  1. I hope I can write this the way I'm trying to ask. To add odor eliminator to a pound of wax, the suggested amount is 1% to 2% for each pound of wax. I'm not sure I'm measuring correctly on the scale. I need 2 readings.... One I need to see what the scale should look like with the 1% of odor eliminator. The other is to see what the scale should look like with 2% of odor eliminator. This is the setting I use on the scale. For example this is a little over 1 1/2pounds of wax and my scale looks like this for that amount. Trappeur
  2. I can't help you with the wax but I can tell you you need to do your own search here on the forum under fragrances and you will see hundreds and hundreds of threads of great oils and not so great oils and who to order from. You will get lots of info there, so just search there. You have to take the time to read up on these threads because you could be here for months and months and learn a lot. Trappeur
  3. She has some really fine oils CandleRush. Ooey caramel, lilac, Shanty, Vanilla Voodoo off the top of my head..... Trappeur
  4. Sultry Angel is one fine beautiful fragrance that is for sure! That reminds me I need to order a pound of it. Trappeur
  5. Good for you Gail.... Now I bet you are so excited to get your new oils....you deserve it...whether you need them or not. I had an order figured out with CS myself and fell asleep and woke up at 3:00 in the morning - 3 hours after the sale ended. I didn't really need any more samples so I saved myself a few dollars. But then I went and made up a big list of oils I'm going to get from Indigo who I have never ordered from...$135.00 worth of oils....but I don't care. I want them and am going to get them and I'm not going to make myself feel bad about ordering from them and a new supplier. I need em....lol...I keep telling myself that. Trappeur
  6. Google what your looking for. I saw 3 companies that carry the Kaluah. Trappeur
  7. Yes, I think the throw is stronger, not much but a little. And they are 2 entirely different vanillas so they smell different from one another. Trappeur
  8. I have never made candles just for the sheer purposes of burning a particular scent for a specific holiday. I make what I love and that's it. Whether it's pumpkin or like a Christmas scent..If I like something special I make it for me. Holidays aren't a holiday to me and especially St Patricks day. It's just another day........What's so special about that day anyway? None that I see.... Trappeur
  9. Maybe get her a gift certificate from one of the candle suppliers and she can use to buy what ever she wants? Trappeur
  10. I missed a scent that I got in with the rest of my order: VANILLA SUGAR WAFFLE CONES: Is a light scent, but I expected that. I've always been obsessed with all vanillas.... I like! Trappeur
  11. Welcome here Starrlight. Trappeur
  12. I'm so excited! My Just Scent order came in last night. I'm pouring every one of them today! Actually I've been up since 3:00 this morning and have already started on them. A couple I should have ordered more! ha ha ha... Here are my reviews on sniffing from the bottles before making them. SMORES: Daisymay I hope your reading this! You know the McCalls Campfire Marshmallow we have been looking for endlessly it seems like forever? Well, OMG, I swear this is a dupe of McCalls. It's totally so spot on! I hope it performs and smells as great as it does sniffing from the bottle. I should have ordered 5 pounds of this...I can't stand that I'm going have to wait 2 weeks for curing. I'm going to order 2 pounds of this today as I only got 1 ounce of it. I can always make melts from the oil if candles don't work out. OMG, FINGERS CROSSED! AVEDA ROSEMARY MINT: Wow, is this ever nice! I'm trying to get one just like Rustic Escentuals Rosemary Mint as theirs is out of stock because of the citrol shortage. It is supposed to be a dupe of Aveda's. I have a store account I'm bringing in new scents to her and she would go crazy over this one. ROSEMARY MINT: This is similar to Aveda's. But I like the Aveda's one much better. VANILLA BOURBON: I'm loving this. TOASTED COCONUT DONUT: Smell a little synthetic to me....is light also. JELLY GLAZED DONUT: Is nice - a little light but nice ORANGE CARAMEL CRUMBLE: I am loving this!
  13. Wow....On Flamings site everyone is in love with firewood with 21 reviews, then campfire has 14 reviews and fireside has 3. But you can't go by reviews I know that. I ordered all 3. They won't go to waste. Trappeur
  14. Flaming has 3 different fireside fragrances Has anyone ever tried all 3? What is the difference? Which one is the best? Your reviews? Thanks.....Trappeur one called campfire: The aroma of burning fir and smoke intermingle to create a fragrance that brings back cozy memories of sitting by a fire on a cold fall night. Please note: This is a very dark colored fragrance oil. one called firewood: This cozy scent begins with a warm crackling woody note that leads to a dry down of smoky burnt cedarwood. one called fireside: A warm, comforting scent reminiscent of snuggling up by the fireplace. Inspired by the popular Slatkin fragrance
  15. Got it CandleRush! Thankyou! I'll write back to you. Trappeur
  16. So they burn about the same the 464 without adding another wax or with? Good for you, that you are happy with that but with the exception the 464 without the other wax added has rough looking tops after burned. I never worried about that with my candles as I never thought it important that it would bother me, no less someone buying one of my candles not liking how they looked after burning. Even high end candles don't all have this look your after so that is the reason I don't worry about it. No one cares..but we are all each our own critic so to each their own, I say. I would love to see pictures of your candles so when you have the time, please put some up! Trappeur
  17. Well, I thought I would give Keystone an order and have in my shopping cart these oils which are Peaks oils. Anyone have any good or bad reviews on them? They are a little pricey though but if they are good oils, i don't mind paying a bit more. I especially love they offer free shipping once you reach a 49.00 order. That to me is especially enticing. 1 pound Christmas Mulberry - I'll just rename it something else for year round use. 3 pounds Birthday Cake - Love this scent 1 Ouncers: Pumpkin Caramel Latte Citrus Spruce Pumpkin Honey Chai Maple and Brown Sugar Chocolate Grahams Warm Apple Dumpling Roasted Pinecones Any other suggestions? Trappeur
  18. Hey CandleRush, So your blending the 2 waxes? Would you mind me asking what percentages your going with? Do you find the throw better than just plain 464 or are you just starting out testing these 2? And what wicks do you find work with this blend? Trappeur
  19. Well Quentin, if you decide that you don't want to do floating candles being they are a hard sell, you can do any other type of candle with your matches so they won't go to waste. I think that is a beautiful touch myself to get a custom match whether they are short or long. Trappeur
