  1. This is my first dipped TP project...nothing fancy, just basic country rustic. I have to admit...it was rather fun and very easy. This is half of a double roll. I removed the inside cardboard roll so that I could cinch up the middle with a rag tie.
  2. KY's coconut cream pie is suppose to be really good.
  3. Thanks for the link Karen. Interesting site...a little hard to read with the white on black. Anyone tried their fragrance oils?
  4. www.bellandcompanytrader.homestead.com I read through lots of threads where many of you recommended this place for blank air fresheners. Did they go out of business...change their name...?
  5. Hi Anna - I agree, CS has a great very vanilla. I also love their HGH...makes me hungry! Have fun
  6. Trap - Nice tarts! I love how they are packaged. What kind of wax are you using?
  7. Has anyone used millcreek's and kentucky's clothesline fresh? If so, are these two oils very similar? I will be placing my first order with KY and would like to order the clothesline fresh if its like MC clothesline fresh. TIA
  8. Would this blend of southern butter pecan and creme brulee really make a good sugar cookie? I'm most interrested in firegirl's suggestions for mixing sugar cookie with butterscotch. In choosing this combination I've run into a bit of a problem. I'm placing an order with KY and Peak...non of which carry a butterscotch fo. Can anyone recommend a butterscotch-like fo sold by either of these two suppliers that might fit the bill for this blend? I'm not quite ready to add another supplier to my list if I don't have to. TIA for any suggestions.
  9. Over the past several days I've read through various threads/posts regarding the different sugar cookie fo's/blends. Has anyone tried this fo blend for sugar cookie in 415? http://www.candletech.com/general-information/scent-mixing-ideas/ I plan on trying ones suggestion to mix sugar cookie with butterscotch and anothers suggestion to mix sugar cookie with pie crust...both of which sound very good. Thanks
  10. Beautiful rustic pillars...LOVE the colors! Keep up the great work...
  11. Hi Trappeur - I LOVE the glitter tree tarts!Did you mix the glitter into your wax or did you dust the finished tarts with it? Also, is that silver glitter? Sorry for all the ?'s, I'm a tart fanatic and I just love what you have done with yours...keep up the beautiful work!
  12. 415 is pure soy...no additives...and is a bit tricky to wick. 464 is basically 402 with a soy-based additive which enables the wax to be poured at a hotter temperature, reduces frosting and increases FO load. The one thing I don't like about 464 is the residue that it leaves behind in the candle jar after burning, otherwise it is a bit easier to wick than the 415. This might help you...http://www.gfgb.com/candles/candle_products.htm
  13. Hi - What type of wicks do you have to test with...are you adding scent/color additives etc...? I don't have any experience with that particular jar that you are using but I have a similar size diam jar (3 1/8" diam) that I can double wick with CD4 or 5 using unscented/uncolored 415.
  14. I use candle ready FO's in potpourri all the time...with potpourri that I get from The Dollar Tree. It works great, you can make it as strong as you like and the scent lasts a long time. Give it a try.
  15. Sorry to hear that you've been sick. Since November the flu has made several attacks at my house...UGH...so tired of being sick Thanks for your reply...Have a great day!
  16. Yes, they are the same...polypropylene is another word for cello.

  19. Kimmero - Are these 8oz square mason jars fairly easy to wick? Does the taller chimney type neck on this jar hold in more heat causing the wax to burn better for a fmp? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to find a smaller/wider jar that I can single wick with 444 and CD's. I'm currently testing 5oz (3 1/8" diam) apoth jars, I can't successfuly wick this jar to save my life......, (unless I double wick with a CD 4 or 5). I heat unscented/uncolored wax to 175-180, then pour at around 115, in doing this I get nice smooth tops. I've tried any where from a CD10 to a CD18. My test burns with 10 and 12 left a lot of hang up and the 14, 16, and 18 just tunneled...sooo frusterating:angry2:...going crazy here... HELP...PLEASE!!!
  20. I'm thinking about trying these jars with GB444 and CD wicks. Candlesoylutions site has them listed as being 3 3/4" in diam while others have them listed as being 3.0" in diam. Just curious if they come in different sizes...if so, which is the better size for 444 and single CD wicking? TIA for any replies.

  22. There's nothin like a good smellin driveway lol...Is it the solvents in the fo's that can kill off weeds? If fo's can kill off weeds, than how safe could they be for us to use in candles/tarts? Just curious...
