  1. Hi, Was wondering if 1 oz. BW to 5 lbs of para-soy really makes a difference? Let me know. Thanks!
  2. Well, after curing most of the 11 scents are nice... However, I think they would be nicer in B&B products rather than candles...
  3. Hi, Yes, I have had to do re-pours, I have not been able to find a way around it... I pour the first time at 170 in heated jars, and the second at 180. I pour 2/3 the on the first pour and 1/3 and the re-pour, that gets rid of the re-pour line for me... HTH
  4. I have tested para-soy blends and found that I liked 6006 the best by far - I just love the look of the finished product. I have also been testing adding high FO paraffin waxes to the 6006 and am very pleased with the results so far... I just have to work out the percentages...
  5. Just found this in the Magnolia description from their site... Very good hot and cold scent-throw in soy after 5-day cure. Candle benefited from a longer cure. Let us know if it changes for you!!
  6. Just ordered the sample pack.... hopefully they smell as great in wax as they do in soap!!
  7. I feel your pain... I had the same problem with Just Scent FOs, as have several others... I have yet to have a problem with Peak, Candle Science or Nature's Garden
  8. Hi, I was wondering if you can use the same FOs we get from Peaks, Candle Science, etc that we use in candles to refresh potpourri - or is their a difference? Thanks!
  9. Well, they aren't listed on their website, so I assume they did... The funny thing... their soy candles were much more fragrant than their original candles and looked flawless (unlike their original candles)... They were in a square container too.... Yeah, sent them an email, haven't heard back yet...
  10. Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew why Yankee stopped making their soy candles?
  11. Hi, I have read on here that several people like Scent Works scents, but don't like their prices... I love the descriptions of the scents on their website... A few have stated that there are other places with just as good scents, but do not state the names of the places... Anyone know of any alternatives to Scent Works? Thanks!
  12. Hmmm, I am still testing J225 (I know, not 223) but I was most surprised by the 225 - it was the only wax to have 100% glass adhesion for a prolonged time in different temps. After pouring and cooling, I have put it in cool to cold places and warm to hot places and it still has perfect 100% glass adhesion. I am very pleased with this wax so far...not sure how it compares to the 223 - I have read that others on here didn't see much difference between the 223 and 225 other than the price...
  13. Hi, My take from the conversation was that you cover them shortly after pouring to keep both the warmth and fragrance in...
  14. Hi, I was talking to someone today who said that you are supposed to cover your containers after you pour them.... They seemed shocked that I did not know this... I have never heard this before...
