  1. WOW! Those are super gorgeous! My first cold pours were hideous lol. Go you xx
  2. Thank you peoples, she's going to have to have a play with wicks and wick placement I think. Anjie,x.
  3. Hiya peoples, A friend of mine is after making some Weeping Rose pillar candles. The ones that are black on the outside but a deep red on the inside. They are wicked to 'bust out' and overflow so that the red wax makes it look like the candle is bleeding - I think its a gothic thing lol. Does anyone have any experience of making these? Any advice you could give me to pass on would be fab. TIA. Anjie,x.
  4. I agree the homepage of your website looks gorgeous, well done. One thing I am slightly concerned about is the tealights. Tealights are usually in a cup made either of foil or polycarbonate. Yours don't have either, how do you advise people to burn them? They liquefy when they are burnt and have to be contained or they make an awful mess. Another few points, the votives ... on one of them the wick is waaay off centre which can be dangerous, a wick leaning on the glass holder could cause it to crack ;0) Also, as you know, wax shrinks as is cools leaving a deep depression in the top of candles, the votives would look soo much neater if you did a repour to level the tops. I always have to do a repour, sometimes 2, depending on shrinkage. Last point, I hope i'm not sounding too critical here - i'm not meaning to offend - it looks like you have poured your snap packs too hot and warped the packaging slightly .... i've done that a few times LOL ... but I dump the pack in the bin and start again because it is impossible to get the hardened wax out of a warped mould. HTH Anjie,x.
  5. Perfect! Well done! Can't wait to see more ;0)

  8. Stearic in a silic0ne m0uld is a bad idea, it will deteri0rate the m0uld in n0 time and the wax will stick like shite t0 a blanket Anjie,x. p.s please excuse the zer0's my ' ' buttn desn't wrk as yu can see

  10. Blimey! Thats huge! (said the actress to the vicar ) Soo pretty too. How long does that burn for? Surely you would have to include in the price the wax and f/o used for the test burn too? Thats why I gave up making the 6" 3 wick pillars it cost soo much to test burn the flippin thing and I never could wick the monster right! It beat me Anjie,x.

  15. I managed to get hold of quite a few of these cute bunnies recently. They dip like a dream. This ones scented baby powder and is a new baby gift for a friend of a friend. Anjie,x.
  16. Those look fab! but one question .... how do you make those? The ice candles I have read about making are poured into a metal mould filled with crushed ice, then when you unmould all the water from the melted ice runs out and you are left with a pretty candle filled with holes where the ice was ....... how did you get yours black and white? I don't understand LOL. Anjie,x.
  17. Do you mean these ones? http://www.qcandles.com/proddetail.php?prod=candle-25 Anjie,x.

  20. Thank you for your replies you are all soo helpful BUT .... I have another question :embarasse If this lady was to make tarts, with a soy base and the gel as a glaze on the soy fruit. The gel would be unscented, just coloured - the soy base WOULD be scented, does she still have to use fo suitable for gel even though its not in the gel itself. And is it safe to have gel on a tart that is going in a tart warmer even though the majority is soy? I couldn't answer this question for her as I have never heard of gel on soy tarts, but i'm not into gel. Thank you for any answers. Anjie,x.
