  1. HAVE YOU MADE THIS????? What do we want? We want pics? When do we want them? NOW! I like making votives and mine never stick either, i give the mould a little squeeze and off it pops ........... oh but your mould sounds fab. Have you made it? have you?? Anjie,x.
  2. use votive wick pins in their tealight cups when pouring? I was making some last night and hadn't made enough tabbed wicks, so I grabbed a votive pin and it fit in the cup perfectly! Gave it a go and it worked great, little bit of a pain to get it back out of the finished tealight but I did it. Anjie,x.
  3. He has been 'dipped' in hot, highly fragranced wax, then drained, then fluffed up and left to set hard. These are room fragrancers and aren't to be lit Anjie,x.
  4. Right there wit'ya CareBear! I'm starting to HATE containers again *lol* Anjie,x.
  5. Glad you said that! LOL I was going to say that but thought you'd think I was silly :embarasse . Anjie,x.
  6. Whats the deal with coffee beans then? Do you just have a wiff every now and then or do you have to keep a jar of it strapped to your face for an hour Anjie,x.
  7. Thank you! Looking good so far. Don't you just love the shape the meltpool makes? Anjie,x.
  8. Nice candle! Very pretty. Did it blow out the sides after a few more hours burning? I poured a big 6" x 6.5" pillar a while back, damn it was a monster *lol* I was told to try it with 18 or 20ply flat braid - I went for the 20ply and it burned fab for about 4-5 hours then the melt pool got a tad close to the edge, then busted out. I always intended repouring and wicking again with the 18ply but never got round to it. Another job for after christmas Do you have any more pictures of the burn pool further on in your test? I'm not quite sure what they are supposed to burn like when wicked properly. Anjie,x.
  9. The stamp thing is for 'embossing' things isn't it? That candle has 'raised' writing so how would a stamp work exactly?? I get confused easy and its too early to think Surely you would need someone to make a cast of what you wanted and then take a silicone mould from that cast. yes/no? Anjie,x.
  10. OMG you gave him a willy? :laugh2: I sit mine on a wire rack over a foil lined roasting pan, then the dripped wax goes back in the pot Where's the pics then??? Anjie,x. p.s. I had to remove several of my bears from Taz's bed the other night, she was laying ON them, protecting them! Didn't work though Mwahahaha.
  11. Hi Scented. I actually thought that it would be great for embedding a votive holder for a 'forever pillar' then I looked again and thought 'but how I do that as the holder would have to be at the top end and not the bottom' iykwim? I suppose I could chunk it and lean the holder on the chunks. Thanks. Anjie,x.
  12. Look at the shape of this candle! I have never seen anything like this, and I want that mould *lol* Does anyone know where I can get one??? Please, please I imagine it would be a nightmare to wick with it being much narrower at the bottom than the top but for a 'forever' it would look fab!! 14. I have bought a mould for tiny cupcakes that are 35mm across the top (diameter) and I'd like to get a mould for tiny little swirls of cream to sit on top, so each swirl would need to be smaller than 35mm - preferably in the UK. Can anyone help me out here? I have searched ebay and come up with nothing. TIA. Anjie,x.
  15. Ohh that looks beautiful! Really professional and pretty. I take it that is shrink wrap? Anjie,x.
  16. WOW! Those look great!! You have been a busy girl. I love the idea of the suction cup, i've never seen that before and wouldn't have thought of it. great job. Anjie,x.
  17. HIM! *lol* That's my Alex and NO you're not having him! He's my little cherub and he seriously gives the BEST cuddles in the world!! Cute just doesn't cut it with this one . Anjie,x.
  18. I found the baskets and the plates .... and the stones at a shop called Wilkinsons, its a fab shop here in the UK. The plates and baskets were just £1.49 each and the bags of stones are 99p each! So its a cheap christmas for me *lol* - but I don't want them to look cheap. I looked at that ebay link - a bit dear really - and I don't mean dear for shrinkwrap I mean its dear when I have gotten 3 x 100meter rolls of polypro wrap for £29...... although shrink wrap does sound soo easy I need to keep my costs down. I might try the last one without the basket just to see what it looks like, thanks for that tip Natty and TwinMom! Anjie,x.
  19. Hmmmm, I don't know, I've never really looked. Anjie,x.
  20. OK, this is the bit I hate - cellowrap was sent to this earth just to drive me insane *lol* Any hints and tips on doing this would be very much appreciated. Before wrapping ............. after wrapping. Does this look ok? And lastly, this one hasn't been wrapped yet (I am going to have to attempt this one drunk I think ) TIA. Anjie,x. P.S. Should I include the baby in the basket??
  21. I thought that! Great minds think alike ...... hmmm or is it fools seldom differ ..... no no definately great minds *lol* Anjie,x.
  22. *lol* I like him without it :embarasse for some strange reason. Anjie,x.
  23. hehe! He's got no ears! I've been giggling about it all afternoon I saw these little bears in a local shop for £1, BARGAIN I thought, so grabbed 6 for dipping as Teachers christmas presents. Got them home and unstitched the scarf... then the hat ..... then started laughing but omg they are soo cute. Here's him dipped and smelling of Blueberry and cinnamon (my own concoction ) and of course wearing his hat! Damn, I wanna keep them all! Anjie,x.
  24. Are you getting rustic? What temp are you pouring at? If you're after smooth and shiney then you have to pour hotter and have the mould in a water bath - I think - I don't do smooth and shiney very often If you pour cool you will get a rustic look with a frosting on it. Anjie,x.
