  1. I'm burning Bittercreeks sex on the beach, great hot throw but it gives me a headache. Anyone tried Alabaster's day at the beach? I wonder if it is the same? It's a lot closer to me to get.
  2. Alabaster in Alabama has a great mulled cider.
  3. I have Alabaster's Kudzu and love it. Great CT and HT. So far I'm wicking up one size with it but still testing.
  4. That looks yummy. I would like to make my body butter a little less greasy too. It's great for hands and feet but would like to be able to use it all over.
  5. I have 4 oz apothecary jars and having pretty good results so far with CD8 using 70/30 soy/J223 blend. These are cute jars.
  6. Got an order for 2 dozen candles for house warming party, scented with sex on the beach and gulf tides from BC. Got a new computer so I'm still working that out with downloads, etc. (what a PITA). It's a beautiful weekend here in Florida so going fishing tomorrow!
  7. I use this kind of shrinkwrap and it works great, labels dont budge.
  8. I don't use GL but have been trying to blend 415 and J223 (70/30) and having the same problem. Love the ease in preparation and how it looks afterwards but keep getting mushrooms, under and over-wicking. I have been using CD wicks, and tried LX with no luck. I may just go back to much smaller amount of J223, just hate to wait and pour with that mix.
  9. I keep trying to tell my BF I am still testing and not quite ready to sell but he doesn't understand completely how much goes into it. I too started off with too much (too many jars, waxes and fo's) and it got overwhelming. This weekend I think I will just start over with 1 or 2 jars and make my mind up on wax.
  10. Thanks 3Bees, someone had told me to pour that blend at 150.
  11. I haven't used EcoSoya but have used EZ Soy/415 for the past year and really like the cold and hot throw but still struggle with tops and cauliflower. I have been adding 1 oz J223 but think I will try 30% next time. For all of you that have used soy/paraffin at 70/30 what temp do you pour at?
  12. I like the first one-looks really clean for an uncolored colored candle to me. But all of them look good, nice job!
  13. I recently bought some lye at Ace Hardware, the Rooto brand.
  14. The only one I have used so far is juniper breeze by BC-smells delish.
  15. Your soap is gorgeous. Hard to believe that is your first!
  16. I spray and wipe out excess, and I use the mini muffin pans for the mold.
  17. The only questions I can answer for you is I do use spray (like Pam) for mold release but only use a little; and there is a smelly jelly recipe on the Bittercreek South site http://www.candlesupply.com/how2smellyjelly.html. HTH
  18. Wow, you did a lot in one night. Your products and logo look great.
  19. Thanks for the replies! Help is appreciated very much.
  20. Beautiful setup. Everything looks so professional!
  21. Hi and hope everyone has a nice mother's day. For those of you who have used soy/par blends like 70/30 or 60/40, what temp do you pour?
