  1. Hello All, I am trying to get set up on facebook with a business page but I do not know the differences with a fan page or group page. Have been reading posts here about it but it is very confusing (I have a personal page but rarely use it) which one you need. Is there a tutorial anywhere? Which addy do you advertise - personal fb page which links to business page or do you just put business page? Thanks to anyone who can share information.
  2. Anita Craft lol that would be great. No the name is Ashcraft and just not sure what to do with it. Thanks.
  3. Hello all, I have been a member on this forum for 6 yrs but have been very inactive for several years due to life. But I have quit my job recently and would like to really turn my love of crafts into a business. My name has the word "craft" in it so everyone says I should just call it my name. Any opinions? TIA
  4. Thanks for the help! I'll give a try when my desk top is working again, hopefully by this afternoon.
  5. How's everyone doing with their fbb? I want to make a scrub and a wash with it but not sure about preservatives. It has a preservative in the base so if you use 16 oz base and add 2 oz oil, wouldn't you only need to add enough preservative to cover the extra oil, or sugar or whatever you add and not the 16 oz that already has it? Am I looking at this wrong?
  6. Hello, I have been trying for several weeks now (unsuccessfully) to extract and use a logo for my labels in Avery. The logo is e-mailed to me, I move it to my folder, but it will not transfer to my label when I try to insert it. What could I be doing wrong? I have had them re-send it to me most recently in PNG and GIF with the following directions: "save to desktop and extract files before using in Avery program." I just cant get it to work and don't know if it's because I'm computer challenged or the file is faulty. Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
  7. I like your label, nice and clean looking.
  8. Thanks for the replies Melanie and Smky. Sorry it took me so long to reply, been out of town. Well gotta go get some wood, thanks again for the info.
  9. The second is much better. The pic and the whole layout blends together to me.
  10. My DH is going to try and make me some CP wooden soap molds but I'm not sure what measurements to give him. I will be using a 3 lb recipe and want 12 bars appr. 3 x 2.5 x 1 (or less). I have been using boxes so far and would like to have log and slab molds. I think a 12 bar log mold is 2.5 wide, 3.5 tall and 14" long but is that the inside or outside measurements? Also, does it matter what kind of wood, pine or maple maybe? Any help would be appreciated.
  11. I like your website, nice colors and easy to navigate. As mentioned, the typos and welcome picture on each page could be improved.
  12. Wow, those are adorable.
  13. Well dang! I so liked that logo but now that I have seen the methodist emblem, I'm rethinking the whole thing. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for the replies.
  14. I don't know what the methodist symbol looks like but I will go google it now. Thanks.
  15. Now I have a hard time making decisions lol, still trying to decide on my labels! My first impression was I like your labels a lot but would either darken the border or company name and see if that makes a big difference. I like your company name, it's very catchy and easy to remember.
  16. Thanks so much for your replies. The lady here at the small bus dev center thought I was limiting myself to just candles by the name and logo so I just wasn't sure.
  17. I started out using just soy initially also but grew tired of the same issues: frosting, ugly tops, long wait time to pour, etc. Adding paraffin to the soy eliminated those issues. It took a LOT of testing though to make a blend I was happy with.
  18. orOooh I also Leena Bug's Mountain Crafts or Wicks and Stitches.
