Thanks. I am planning to mix it with different salts. I found a recipe that used Borax. I really did not feel comfortable added that to my blend. I have been trying to get a decent price for the supplies, still searching. I am in the research and development phase of this project (yeah for tax purposes). I am trying to concoct a few medicinal recipes. (Not like the one Granny uses for the Beverly Hill Billies).

I was wondering if you can use Morton Sea Salt in bath salts? Also, I have been researching the forums and I cannot find a consensus : Natrasorb to use/not to use SLSA to use/not to use Cyclomethicone to use/not to use Citric Acid to use/not to use Powder milk to use/not to use (Cannot find out why people use it, just it is in their recipe) Baking soda to use/not to use Corn starch to use/not to use Glycerine to use/not to use Dry Flo AF Pure (? Replaces natrasorb) to use/ not to use I have read that you can use olive oil. Meaning the one we cook with? Epsom vs dendritic salt :read:Very confused.

Where do I find Natrasorb? Can you use rock salt (the salt used in making ice cream)?

The beads were from Hobby Lobby and the FO was odor eliminator. I guess the saying, you pay for what you get.. the beads were extremely cheap and they turned out to be "PGA style" for one and FO still in the jar for another. Lesson learn: If you want to experiment, by a small amount of the right type of element and go from there. OH well.... back to my pot of gumbo.

Epsom Salt, I can get from Wal-Mart. Where can you get Dead Sea Salt? Is it the same as Morton's Coarse Sea Salt? Would you find Dendrtic Salt at a Walgreens?

I know this may sound stupid, but here goes... What is dendrite salt? I have been doing lots of research and just about every recipe calls for this type of salt. I know I can kind Epsom Salt but where does one find: Dendrite salt & Dead Sea Salt?

Well, they went for 165 yards straight drive. I had a batch that actually worked some what. The net favor bags (you can get at the Dollar tree) that they use for weddings, I think should be sufficient to hold the beads in. What is your suggestion to put the beads in for sales? (I have a long way to go with testing until I get there). It never hurts to plan ahead.

Question.... (May sound stupid... I have not had my 2 cup of coffee yet LOL) If the beads after 1 week still remain oily to touch, it should be ok to pour it out on an aluminum foil and let dry for a bit. This would probably cause it to loose the aroma quickly?

I got the beads from Hobby Lobby. I wanted to do a little research before I plunge into making aroma beads. It was a odor eliminator FO. It is solid as a rock. I am planning to take it out back this morning and "Sh...w...aaa....cc...kk.." it with the reset of my golf balls or make a few more just for kicks and use it as an air freshener. Aroma beads definitely require dedication. The shaking can be a little rough on the wrist area. Where can I get quality aroma beads (not beads to make golf balls with).

The aroma beads just clump into a hard ball. I am guessing because the FO was a little think it made it clump? Started again from scratch and followed the directions. Still having the same problem. I guess I will use these results I just made out in the back of my house as practice golf balls. Maybe can send this to the PGA tour, LOL.

I am new to making aroma bead products. I have hit a snag: I used 1 oz of FO to 1/2 pound of beads. I placed the mixture in a glass jar and began the lengthy shaking process. however, when it 5 minutes it clumped together like a solid bar. I removed some of the beads thinking I might have filled the quart jar with too much and placed them in another quart jar. I attempted to add more oil and a few more "pinches" of beads and it still did not help. Any suggestions before I take them o ut back and use them as golf balls?

You can purchase heat guns at Harbor Freight. They area really not that expensive, ranging from $9.99 to $19.99. There is always a great sale going on (almost like the new female Wal-Mart). It is not a bad place either to purchase a wagon to help you tote your merchandise to and from the car for craft shows.:smiley2:

Has anyone tried adding glitter to wax? If so what grade did you use?

I am working with a limited budget also. Every penny goes right back in. Since it is also in my husband's eyes "a hobby" at times, he does not mind a few bucks here or there thrown in. To help with cost. I have done all of the legal research myself and wrote my own contracts, accounting forms, and designed my catalog. I was fortunate to have a friend of a lawyer friend review them for free (well, they asked a medical question and the answer they received was a great help on their case). I am trying to have my material look as professional as possible with the budget that I have, which means cutting out my own labels, etc.. I don't mind. I have 2 other partners, one who is heading the glass dept (which she funds doing the stain glass and etching), I fund everything else at present and the other contributes by working hours or a "silent partner". Knock on wood, it is working out great so far. Our different backgrounds has played a big part in helping our company grow. I am always will to learn and if I can, willing to share my knowledge when possible; lots of things that as we say," Well, ^&%&^$^& I wish someone would have told me that (lol)."
