    Thanks guys...I am VERY small and don't intend to get awhole lot bigger anytime soon. Guess the next thing I need to do is get with my accounting friend and ask her. I do have a tax ID, and nothing was said about needing to do anything else at that time. Thanks so much, you are all sooo helpful!

    Hmmm...how about Winter Wonderland? I don't know, the peppermint just make me think of winter...not sure what the other stuff smells like so thats the best I can do! ps. do I get a half bar for trying???

    Hi and welcome! The best thing for you to do is to get a starter kit. Are you wanting to make containers or pillars or votives? The starter kit will come with everything you need, and then you can adjust from there, like trying different waxes and wicks and such. I would recommend going to www.peakcandle.com and buying one of there kits:cool2:

    lbtddr...I use Peaks almost exclusively and normally don't have this issue. I did only use 1oz per lb because i only purchased a 1oz sample. Maybe at 1.5 it would be better. Or, it could be also that I need to give it a rest for a few days and try again. Thanks so much you guys for all your advice and input!

    The one thing that stands out in my mind from my very first show a few weeks ago is to do what Robin said...get a directors chair. This would have helped me so much I think. A few times people couldn't see me sitting back there and had to ask if it was my booth. Another lady did have a tall chair and she never really had to stand up unless she was bagging an order. Next time, I will definitely get one of the directors chairs!

    Thanks Fern...I don't think the wick is the problem, melt pools and flame tested fine, just the scent didn't throw very well for me and I was hoping this would be another Rose or Blackberry Sage and just knock my socks off. Oh well. Back to the drawing board:cry2:

    I'm jealous! I tried my strawberry mold and mine didn't come out like that at all! great job!

    Why is it that some scents will throw VERY strong at 1oz per pound, while others are rather weak? I know some scents are naturally stronger than others, but even if it is a light scent you would think you would still be able to smell them. I use all oils from Peak except for two. I tested Mac Apple last night and was so excited, but it didn't seem to throw that well for me. I use J223 and 44z wicks. Anyone have an explanation for why this happens?

    I don't like it at all OOB, but I'm sure it has to smell better in wax!

    I haven't run into anyone that burns 3-4 hours (including myself)! I have explained to customers that in order to get the optimum use out of the candle, it should only be burned 3-4 hours, but no one listens!!

    36 others?!?!?!? Geesh, and I thought 8 others at the show I did a few weeks ago was alot. Man, you did awesome for having that much competition. You must have a wonderful product and people know that. Great job!
