I purchase my 4oz jars from Walmart all the time. I just got some last week (they only had four cases left) and I am hoping when I go back again next week they will have more! I use the straight sided 8oz, so wally world doesn't help me there. I think I pay $6.63 for a dozen of the 4oz.

I can't figure it out either Lola. Like I mentioned, I could smell it very strongly, but the DH couldn't:undecided I really hope it goes away because I really like this OOB and has a great cold throw. And, of course, I don't want to stray from Peaks if I don't have to!

Ok...tested this one last night in 1lb J223 with one ounce of fo...44-24-18z wick...I get a strong fuel smell but my dh says he smells more fruit than fuel. What in the world could have caused this smell? I also get this with Peppermint (both oils are Peaks). I used orange dye chips.

Wow...thats tough. Sorry to hear it. I would say that you should still do it once a contract is signed, especially if you have already ordered all of those supplies. That would be a tough call, though. Sorry:(

I just size my own on Printmaster and print them on a full sheet of sticker paper, then cut them out. Its the only way I could get it to work! I had thought to try the name badge labels, but I couldn't figure out how to rotate to make it print to fit the clamshell, so I just cut them out now.

Mine is Countryside Candles, but it doesn't really mean anything! I had the HARDEST time coming up with a name, had a whole page full of choices. I finally narrowed it down to three, and my husband liked this one the best. We do live out in the country, so I guess it does sort of fit my situation

I ordered mine from Candles and Supplies and I got the witch hats there too...they are so darn cute!!!

I agree with Robin. If you will be mentioned, then I would at least do it once!

Thanks guys, I really need to hear some positive things right now. I'm not angry at our secretary for making candles, not at all. Its just the way it all happened, and the timing of it...with everything else going on it just got to me more than it should. It really has got me thinking though about how to push my product and get it out there more. So, it will end up being a positive thing for me in the end to have competition so close, right now I am just trying to figure out how.

I hate to bring up old stuff, but I have an update on this...today I finally found out more about those other candles. Evidently, as I learned today, our secretary is now making candles and that is were they came from. Fine, great, I'm happy for her. It just gets me because early on she was always asking me about if making candles was hard, were I got my supplies, etc... Now I know why. I wish she just would have said Hey, I would love to learn how to do that could ya help me out? It just makes it very akward now. I'm not angry at her for making them, just a little peeved the way she went about letting it be known. Sorry guys, its just been a REALLY bad last few weeks (business and personal wise), and it just doesn't seem to end. I am sure I am completely over reacting, but I can't help it.

I'm using the jars for the first time, and I am filling them with Amish Harvest...I think it will be a great seller for me (at least I hope)!

I feel the same way about this place! If ever I need candle help, or just to vent, I can do it here and know that someone will jump in and give me advice or lift my spirits! It is weird how someone you have never met before can do so much for you!

This has to be what the lady was referring to. To me, throwing the used wax back in the pot sounds very gross. Why not just throw it away? Hmmm..

Sure, you can do that. If you go by the standard 1oz per pound of wax, just use 1/2oz per 1/2lb of wax. Should work just fine! When I test, I pour all sizes in one scent. Then I test burn them all. Once I finally get the right burn, I make note of it and make that particular candle the same way every time! HTH

Thanks guys! I just get worried that this isn't worth it sometimes...I have been selling since March, so I haven't experienced the Christmas rush yet. I'm sure when the time comes I will be trying to find time to fill all the orders!
