I'm pretty certain that 444 has a much cooler pour temp. Wicking will also be considerably different. -Kristi

No it won't. A wick is braided so if you look at it one way, it looks upside down and flip it over and it looks right side up. So it doesn't matter... -Kristi

Yeah, I cool in the boxes, but I don't cover until completely cooled with wicks trimmed. A long time ago, I tried trimming ASAP and putting lids on, but the condensation was terrible- it got between the jar and the wax. Bad news. -Kristi

Same here. I may do something small around Christmastime for friends who have bought in the past, but between wax prices, gas prices and the economy in general, I'm not digging the risks this year. I love candles and B&B and can't give them up altogether... but my friends are going to be getting nice homemade gifts vs me sell sell selling... I already live in a depressed area that will get hit more with the mortgage stuff, and honestly, the people who do buy from me shouldn't be buying and it makes me feel bad. Not to mention the newest arrival coming 10/08... I haven't been able to go near my FOs in almost 2 months now... of course, that hasn't stopped me from waiting for CS and TCS's $1 sample sales... -Kristi

I fully intended to buy enough for the year just before the end of last year when the shipping rates increased again. Didn't have the cash flow, so it didn't happen. I'm glad that my instincts are right on, but alot of good it does now! For the record, milk here is $4 a gallon. I was buying powdered milk for something and priced it out- it makes 5 gallons of milk and cost $18.99 (and is skim). Which means with apples to apples equivalent for skim, it costs $2 MORE for powdered milk than fresh. Go figure. -Kristi

Yep, it's the one you've been looking for. Several sizes smaller in wicking than other soys, so keep that in mind! It's like soy for dummies (and I use it too, so I'm not calling YOU a dummy!). Seriously, it just worked for me- everything about it clicked almost effortlessly. -Kristi

Hmm, not sure what Marseille would smell like! As far as disinfectant, are we talking a lemony smell or more like the sharp, bitter disinfectant smell? I used a Lemon Verbena by BCN that smelled like lemon cleaner. Now the room that never gets opened... sounds like it could almost be a patchouli/oakmoss kind of smell? A damp and musty scent? -Kristi

I haven't used that wax, but what is the cure time supposed to be? Some soys need to cure up to 2 weeks for a great hot throw. Which fragrances have you tried so far? Feel free to call CandleScience with any questions, they are GREAT with customer service and have always gone out of their way to help. -Kristi

I do a jewelry/candle party with a friend at christmastime. It's the same clientele, so it works out fine. We do payments seperately though and there have been no issues! -Kristi

I wick the 16 oz with either 16 or 18, depending on fragrance. The 8 oz's I can usually use a 12 without a problem. I also use 464. For the record, a 4 oz is usually a 5. Don't worry about the 2 hour melt pool... the tins get hot on the inside edges toward the bottom and things you're SURE you underwicked catch up on the last few burns. I most often use an 18 on the 16 oz and am fine. -Kristi

Mine is quality control- it's locally hand made by someone who cares and will guarantee the product. They can contact me anytime with any concerns at all and I will make it good. I'm not into the scare tactics and gloom and doom. If they like it, they'll buy it. If they really like it, they'll buy more and tell friends. -Kristi

Hmm, how long have your cure times been? I have gotten awesome throw from C-3 with NG oils (many of them) with HTP wicks. They require at least a week to cure though. -Kristi

Great job... I've been in such a jumble still recovering from Christmas that I missed Valentine's altogether... ugh. Although I made a HUGE deal of it last year and sold next to nothing, so I guess I'm a little hesitant as well. But I'm almost all candles. I think B&B really shines for Valentines... -Kristi
