    I get a crazy awesome throw from pretty much all of the ones that are three leaves on the soy chart on the site. I use 464 too, with CD wicks. Pumpkin souffle and Cranberry Marmalade are my two that I cannot live without. lol.

    I bought some of this- also the This Old House from VA Candle Supply. VA Candle supply is really not it at all. Fragrance Buddy is very close with just a couple notes off. OOB is very similar, in wax is quite similar and I'm about to start testing the fragrance while burning. I think that it's possible I can swap this in and only the most die hard will wonder if something might have changed.

    Have you tried a different type of wick? I found C3 to be very tempermental. HTP's were my go to wick. 464 is so much more forgiving!

    I use cd's with 464. Since 464 has such a low melt point, room temperature makes a huge difference in melt pool and flame size. Is your room warmer than normal? A CD 14 would be my normal starting point with that jar.

    I use 464 and square masons. Usually a CD 12. Sometimes strong spiced candles take the 14's. Undyed. I get the rustic lids from CandleScience. Love the Pewter!

    I tested and used C3 for a while. HTP wicks worked best by far. C3 seems like a fairly slowly burning wax. I ended up switching to 464 and cd's.

    I use CDs. I switched to dye free candles as the customers who were excited about soy wax were really happy with undyed. In an 8 oz jelly with 464, a CD 10 will work for most fragrances without dye. I think your red is killing you on this one. Try a 12 or go dye free.

    Their Spicy Apples and Peaches will most likely work for me- but I MUST find This Old House, and I'd love Amish Harvest!

    I haven't been around here in forever, but I'm really really really interested in either someone buying out the business or someone getting some of these duplicated! This Old House, Spicy Apples and Peaches, and Amish Harvest are my 3 must haves. please, Please, PLEASE!?!? I raced to the website after the email, but no luck.

    I haven't tried zincs in 464. I did use them in Joy though... I've used HTPs and CDs in 464 and REALLY like CDs. -Kristi

    I heat my candle room to just over 70 when I'm pouring... every little thing helps with frosting. :rolleyes2 -Kristi

    464 has additives preblended into it. It has a lower melt point than a pure soy and is much easier to wick. Very much worth testing 10 lbs. -Kristi

    I don't use it anymore... I did start with it though. I ended up switching because I couldn't figure out the soy content for it and because they refused to support different batches. Like it was an "if it doesn't work, oh well" kind of thing. No consistency. So no help for you, but I'm really liking GW 464 with CD wicks. -Kristi

    One other thing not mentioned- did you wash the container really well first? It sounds like you have a combination of problems. Stir stir stir stir. Like keep stirring after you add the FO and color. I cool to about 150 before pouring 464. Pour in a warm room. Pour into clean jars. I get very smooth tops and haven't had any problems with cracking. With the frosting, using liquid dyes I can get a pretty good red. Try using less red drops and add a touch of brown in with it to deepen in. That may help alot. -Kristi

    I had no luck with NG's. Couldn't give it away. Even after a rename and then using it as the main FO in mixes. -Kristi

    CS Mistletoe CS Cranberry Marmalade CS Pumpkin Soufflee TCS Spicy Apples and Peaches Those are my MUST haves... there are other good ones that do well, but if I don't have those I'll get complaints. In fact, I have to keep the pumpkin one stocked. The Mistletoe makes a great room spray for people who have fake trees too. -Kristi

    Have you tried CS's? It's not a fabric softener kind of scent... more "real" lavender, only a softer, sweeter scent because of the vanilla. Takes the bite off. I'm not sure how it compares to BBW as I don't have anything that scent and I haven't taken a sniffy into the store yet :tiptoe: . -Kristi

    The first things I'd look for is burning too long and not trimming the wicks. If you have a good burn and aren't overwicking, those are the likely culprits. -Kristi

    Lavender Vanilla is awesome in cp. Scent has stuck for a year in my test batch! Cranberry marmalade SMELLS great, but it was teetering on ricing and is very picky while soaping. If you can tiptoe around the ricing issue you'll be thrilled with the scent. -Kristi

    Yep! Search! There is lots of information on here about 464. I like it. Low melt point and easy burns (for soy). Definitely worth researching and testing! -Kristi

    Aww, shucks... it's just what works for poor impatient me . I like to pour hot, I like lots of scent throw, I like little to no frosting. The tops are awesome after pouring, but they are a lovely crystalized pitted pattern after burning (ok, that's what I try to think anyway). Bottom line though- you'll find the wax and style that works for you. I fought with c-3 for a year before trying something else. I was SO much happier with 464. -Kristi

    They are my favorites too. I have ONE FO that I really want to order from Peaks and I haven't only because it's the only one I need and they will only ship FO's UPS even if the FP isn't low and it's under the number of oz cutoff... :rolleyes2 I have ZERO complaints with candlescience.
