  1. All of them look absolutely fabulous, but I have to say I like the Blackberry Vanilla best as I am a purple person. I wouldn't change a thing I like it just as is off white/yellowish with the purple. I think it makes it look kind of dreamy.
  2. Bruce your carvings are beautiful! As always
  3. If nothing else it has inspired some of us with some new ideas.
  4. That was just fun to watch. I love carved candles, but that isn't going to give me enough info. to make them.
  5. I don't like messing with liquids, I usually get more on my hands than in my pot. I have had no problem getting a real red with Peaks Ruby Red Dye chips in CB3, 6006 & 1343 (for my pillars).
  6. I didn't have any problem with Peaks Coconut Milk FO. Might have turned a little off color, but not even close to brown. The smell has held through the CP process, but it has changed some. Out of the bottle it was more of a fake coconutty smell like suntan lotion or something and in the soap it is more like a real fresh coconut. Now if anyone was talking about the milk and not the FO the only part about the coconut milk that makes it somewhat of a PITA is having to freeze it and get it slushy.
  7. I don't know if it is any help to you, but walmart has the glass heart dishes by Libbey. I think they're about 6" wide & 2-3" tall (don't really remember at the moment) and I use 3 wicks. I think last I saw they were 97 cents.
  8. That is kinda strange. I've only got that when I have messed around with my wicks while it was cooling. I have heard somewhere that this happens to some people when it is cooling too quick and they had to insulate them while cooling and this stopped happening. Might try that on the next one...unfortunately I think the only thing to do to fix this one is to take a heat gun to the top.
  9. I tried this a while back and it was pretty fun. My only advice would be to find and follow a good tutorial. Here is a link to one that might be good start. Some others I have read have you make a hanger/handle to dip it into the water with. My own personal advice is just to be prepared for it to get a bit messy. Have fun & good luck! http://www.geocities.com/jamez1035/WATERCANDLES.html
  10. The lye is not as scary as it sounds. How fast it will cool will depend on how cold our carport is. It will cool back down pretty much just like water would. Have Fun & Good Luck with your batch!
  11. Your glasses look great. Reminds me of one I did for a friend that was made to look like a cosmo in a martini glass. On mine I had pink rhinestones all over like your hearts. I really like the hearts great for VD!
  12. I can see why they wanted these they're really cute. Good job!
  13. I absolutely love the heart soaps. They are my favorite. I love purple!
  14. And these are definitely air bubbles right? Kind of looks like mottling on my computer.
  15. These look really cool. I like the texture. Good job!
  16. I have the same curioustity about the terra cotta, but I have to also say they're all beautiful!
  17. Well looks good, gave you nice clean layers this way.
  18. That looks great. Too bad you're loosing colors. Still can't wait to see it cut.
  19. Well I think I like this one. It wasa tad soft at four weeks, but at six it is good and I like the lather. I scented it coconut as well so it smells yummy.
  20. Don't forget pringles cans! They're great for round bars.
  21. Those look so gorgeous. FABULOUS JOB!
  22. I think the cencept is really cool. It definitely does remind me of a pumpkin in those colors. I was thinking Halloween/Thanksgiving candle. I can't wait to see what you try next.
  23. That looks awesome. Great job! I love the colors.
  24. Just some of what I was up to today. These are all going to be for me. Will burn them this weekend for a Christmas party I'm having (so I was a bit lazy making them). Sorry the pictures are also not that great. I made two of each and scented everything amish harvest even though it isn't what most of these candles look like they should be scented. I figured it is a good scent for the gathering. First is a triangle shaped container: Side view top view Next one is a squarish tapered container: This one I made a piller for, but forgot to add more red so instead of a reddish burgundy it is too purple...oh well nobody is going to notice anyway. Last one is an incomplete snowman I am still working on: Man am I tired now!
