  1. My favorite molds are the ones my dad used to make. He stopped and dh and I picked it up. I don't use anything else but Tony's.
  2. Sally is good people. She has great oils and colors for soapies. You can't go wrong there.
  3. Thanks guys. It's been a while but it's been fun. It's a great addiction....
  4. Haven't shared here in a long time. Last time I did I was just beginning to make cream soap. Well I stopped for a year and then picked it up again...... Here's some of what I have been doing.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/99601608@N00/591472621/ The link explains the different cream soapies.... Pumpkin liquid soap. This is now a standard product.... Hardwood Musk. Smells devine. Salt bar with coconut milk
  5. Ya know....I used tomato juice for a cream soap I made for the home grown swap last year. The color was no where near as rich as this. Makes me want to do it again. Now pumpkin... whole different ball of wax.
  6. This is stunning. I love love love the color. Great job!
  7. When I would order from her YEARS ago I had to tell her it was URGENT and I had an order waiting to get her to acknowledge my order. DH will not allow me to order from her and he knows he can't "tell me what to do". Does that tell you anything??!!? Sorry you had to experience it.
  8. Thanks to you both. I tossed my first batch too. THEN I waited over a year before I made a new batch. I tossed batch number 3 this time. It never came together. I fixed the recipe though and should be able to get it to my liking this time.
  9. Thanks guys. I adore the process actually. I made these two batches and then one that flopped. This is how we learn. I have greatly modified the flop and plan on doing it tomorrow. The first is "textured" with ground oatmeal because I want it to be a facial scrub of sorts and will be part of two coffee swaps I am hosting. The second one, the tomato juice batch is a delight to use. It is like silk. I told myself I would never make cream soap after my horrific flop in the beginning of last year. I got a wild hair a few weeks back and it happened to be to the week that I tried it last year. I think I am addicted.
  10. This was my first attempt in exactly a year. I ran out of a cream soap I was given as a gift and almost cried. I was determined to figure it out. This batch is 8 days old today. The "texture" is ground oatmeal. Works great. I left it unscented so I could take a little out here and there and add stuffies to it to see how it would make it different. THIS is my second and favorite. The color is from herb infused tomato juice and Tumeric powder. I used tomato juice for ALL of the lye sollution and infused it with rosemary, thyme, parsley and lavender. Scent didn't come through though. :embarasse I scented the entire batch with tangerine and lavender essential oils and it smells very very very good. It's been a very long time since my last hello. HI!
  11. I said "That's really cool"...DH says "Yeaaaaaahhh..Somebody did a good job". AWESOME!
  12. YES...I fixed the white cap. That bugged me awful bad. Love Spell candle ~ Black Raspberry Vanilla shower gel ~ Rosemary Mint MSM lotion ~ Cucumber Melon lip balm X2 ~ cuticle balm ~ Black Pepper n Witches Brew soap X2 for HER ~ Woodlands Type soap X2 for HIM ~ facial scrub ~ Island Delight EDIBLE Massage Oil ~ purple rose petals to throw on bed. Purple is his favorite color so I wanted to add that in. Ponsettas for Cmas since it was so close. 8o) This was special. This was for a benefit being given for friends of the family who lost everything in a house fire recently. Mom is still in ICU but should be able to come home next week. (1)16 oz rosemary mint candle (2) Vanilla sandalwood lotions (2) lip balms (1) cuticle balm (4) assorted soaps Sangre De Grado from OKFOs. All I can say is OMG!
