  1. They all look great, very yummy! I want to pick off the candy corn and eat them though
  2. You probably don't need it, but in my opinion Peak's Coconut Milk is pretty good. I think oob it is like fresh coconut and in some products a little more like a tanning oil type scent. I love it though.
  3. Here are the cut pics of those salt bars as you can see not as vibrant, but still have a nice look.
  4. Shrink wrapping seems to be the least messy way as you're always loosing a piece here and there. It doesn't really smash them down much either it just kind of holds it tight against the bar.
  5. This first one is a mixed batch of shredded soaps and then a mix of four different fruit FO's. I like calling this one Fruitfetti. It smells delish....kinda sweet melon and a little citrus kinda like a fruit salad. Some done in a slab and some in a log, I like them both ways. This is a fresh pic taken before the colors faded and it fogged over. The colors are still nice. This one's FO is Mardi Gras.
  6. I soap room temp. using a log mold and I put my goats milk soaps in the fridge as soon as they're in the mold so they keep cool and don't gel. Usually this works.
  7. For anyone else who's interested in knowing. I got the one from WSP and it is a nice orange scent, but just not right. Kind of just a sweet orange smell. It looks like I am off to try another one.
  8. Assuming you did a 6lb batch with those oil percentages and at 5% SF the amount of lye used should be fine. Some soaps will still zap in first 24hrs. I'd wait and test again in a couple days.
  9. I knd of wonder if t isn't dissolved and is still in granular form if it does any good. You probably have to get it to dissolve so it mixes into the lotion. Otherwise the granules would just sit on the skin and fall off (I would think). Kind of like that darn citric acid trying to melt that stuff is always fun.
  10. Oh man I was already hungry, but now I am starving! They look delicious!
  11. I don't think there is a difference. I have had a rub before, but I didn't really feel anything working I think it just kinda helps a little with soreness long term. I do however notice it helps my horses, but that is of course in their feed.
  12. I give MSM to my horses and buy in bulk if you would like I'd be happy to send you a couple spoonfuls to to try out before buying a large quantity. I haven't tried this yet, but have been thinking about it for months. It is fairly cheap and shipping very inexpensive to prder this at horse.com also http://www.horse.com/products/product.aspx?sku=BWA56
  13. The one at WSP sounds perfect. Wouldn't you know it I just made a small order from there last week, before I started looking for this. Of course I never thought to look for Ginger Orange. Thank you so much for the help!
  14. Thanks for the info JBN's sounds kind of like a bakery scent too with the cinnamon and such and I really like the fresh scent so I may give Taylored a try.
  15. Does anyone know of a place that sells this type of FO? I love the orange & citrus scents and the one BBW has of this smells really great. I have only been able to find one refference to it on here and the place mentioned doesn't carry this scent or at least not now/anymore. Thanks!
  16. Have you tried Amish Harvest? I find it to be very strong Peak's is at least.
  17. Really great soaps. Very creative, I love the polka dots!
  18. ok, after I got it in the mold I put it in the oven (turned off) just so it would keep warm and gel. Shortly after I forgot and turned on the oven to cook something. When I found the soap a bit later it was bubbling up and above the mold. I had to pat it and push it back down. The colors went kinda crazy darkened and swirls turned more into pockets of color. Not my worst oven incident, but the first where I wasn't trying to even use the oven (for more than storage).
  19. Just some recent soaps On the left Lemon Sugar and on the right is Passionate Kisses (this had a bit of a soaping accident, but it definitely looks different). On the left we have Mardi Gras FO and the chunks in there are lavender even though they look more white. On the right we have an Oatmeal, Milk and Honey.
  20. Well right now I don't know anyone that ships it out. It is still too warm. How much longer do we have to wait?
  21. As far as soap I have only tried it in HP and I have one bar left going on 9 months old and still not brown. I haven't had a problem in my lotions either. I have however seen other lotions that have a slight tan tint to them, but I do not however know if those are Peak's jut that they're pink sugar.
  22. Yes, I guess I never really specified it is CP.
  23. Ok here's a current pic of this goofy science experiment.
  24. It is supposed to be Homogenized, No Stir. I also need to ad a pic, but since I cut it and took pics the first time it has been spreading. I'll try to post a pic tonight.
  25. ok, I was ready to blame the lye as I have been using this batch of palm for a while and never got this result. It is some weird looking swirly stuff.
