  1. I am using Eco-Soya. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't loosing any FO in the heating process.
  2. I have an FO that says it's flash point is 132. What exactly is it telling me and why should I need this info? Am I putting the FO in at too high a temp?
  3. They are both great, but I would lean towards that blue pillar. The combination of the blue and white starburst patterns coming through the sides are incredible.
  4. About to pour my first containers this weekend. I was advised to use the 4636 wax, and looking at the results of the survey that Top did, looks like I got a pretty good wax. Was hoping to find some hints and tips for container pouring with this wax. Some things in particular I would like to know: Pour fast or slow? Is pre-heat needed? Water bath, yes or no? How do I increase glass adhesion? I saw a thread here about using caulking to stick the wick tab down. Is that a preferred method? Please chime in on any, or all, of these, and please let me know what works well for you in regards to color, scents, or anything you can think of. Thank you!
  5. Ya'll are kind. I tried to hurry the process along and it shows. The next one I will take my time with. The color line blended very well I thought.
  6. I like the ones with the ribbons on them. Very creative!
  7. Those are neat looking. Love the green color.
  8. This will be straight paraffin. My goal would be to find a 'one pour' wax. As far as local pick up, I have no idea if their is a wax store near Elizabethtown, KY. So far my searches have turned up nothing. Can anyone help?
  9. I am ready to move into containers. They will be small containers for the most part. I need some advice on the right type of wax to use and were to get a good price. Any ideas? Thanks!
  10. A big jar lid. Of course. Duhhhhh! Signed, Another Noobie
  11. Has anyone tried to make a wooden wick? My wife found a candle on the internet that has a wooden wick and I was hoping that someone could shed a little more light on the subject.
  12. I didn't remember until now, that was my very first pour. Bye-bye first candle. LOL
