  1. Thanks everyone for all the ideas! I was just really stuck! Not corny at all!!! I looked up the flower meanings of honeysuckle and jasmine: Honeysuckle: Sweetness Of Disposition Jasmine, White: Amiability and Cheerfulness That really sums her up, I think! Does the Honeysuckle Jasmine from CandleScience throw well in soy? (ecosoya 135)
  2. She wasn't a perfume kind of person. All I can think of when I think of her is "comforting." Kinda like chicken noodle soup. LOL
  3. LOL....ok...maybe I should reword my question. If you have ever known someone who always seemed to be "comforting" when you were in their presence...the kind of person who was always kind...and their smile lit up a room, that everyone found "comfort" in her presence, and they passed away from Cancer...and you wanted to create a candle in thier memory...what scent would you think of?
  4. What scent do you think of when you think of the word "comforting?"
  5. Found this on the Belle Aire website. Global Habitats - This is an exotic fragrance collection featuring sophisticated scents inspired by the four major biomes of the world. Experience the scents of the forests with Woodland Moss, Rain Forest Teak and Asian Forest. The freshness of Grasslands in Tall Grasses, Prairie Flowers and Savannah Gold. The Desert comes alive with scents of Aloe & Yucca, Flowering Cactus and Desert Garden. And lastly the wonderful scents of the Mediterranean come forth in Olive Tree, Herbs by the Sea and Mediterranean Garden. I tried to email but something seems to be wrong with their form. I'll try calling Monday. I am most interested in Woodland Moss, Rain Forest Teak and Asian Forest. Anyone know if any of the regular suppliers carry these fragrances, or has anyone tried them?
  6. Here's my take on MC Honeysuckle in Ecosoya. Poured it Wed. Great cold throw right away. Hot throw today after 48 hrs is very nice. Not too strong...but throws a good distance which I didn't get from the others. I've tested NG and IFT and so far I like this one the best. I think it's truer than the other two I've tested.
  7. I got those shots from this webpage that told me how to build my lightbox. The photoshop editing tutorial is on the page as well, step-by-step. Just scroll down. http://www.theswitchboards.com/articles_professionalphotos.html
  8. Thanks! Now I want some! But I have Lilac and Honeysuckle coming tomorrow from MC...so guess I should test those first, LOL
  9. I am getting some from Millcreek on Wed. I'll let ya know!
  10. Anyone know where I can find a dupe for Ivory Moisturising Body Wash - Aloe scent? Man I love that stuff!
  11. I'm not a B&B person, but I am a big Shea butter fan. I made this and it was easy! Came out wonderfully light and fluffy! It's GREAT on dry patches! A little goes along way! GREAT recipe, Kim!!
  12. My photos come out with a pinkish background just like in the tutorial without flash. But photoshop editing is what get's the background really white.
  13. I made one CHEAP using a Rubbermaid container, white poster board, and clip on lights following the directions here. http://www.theswitchboards.com/articles_professionalphotos.html I user GE Reveal light bulbs. The lightbox is easy, the camera setting is easy, but if you don't have Photoshop for EDITING, it's hard to get the pic to look really good.
  14. Today must be the day! I got a lawn maintenance flyer with no postage in my mailbox today too!
  15. Thanks for the review, Groovy Chic! It's really great to hear it from a fellow chandler. I did get this from their Customer Service rep today in case anyone else was interested. "We've had very good results with VDM in soy. Our testers reported excellent, strong hot and cold throw with a short cure time of a couple of days. There were several tests done, including 100% soy, one using ecosoya 135, some with another soy votive blend. Additionally, we tried it in crystal palm but we were not happy with our results. Then again, we found crystal palm very difficult to scent successfully. Of course, we always suggest that you test your particular wax and wick combo." Lisa A Customer Service
  16. Has anyone tried their Vaniglia del Madagascar *type* in soy?
  17. RE/AH Fresh Cut Tulips Any reviews in soy? TIA
  18. I've not tried any Snowtop oils, but looks like I will have to now, LOL! Do they work well in soy?
  19. Congrats, dwarfie! I do something similar for a different cause. It's SUCH a good feeling!
  20. Candlewic has it for $4.25 per lb. Candlescience has it for $4.95 per lb.
  21. LOL...that would be me. Luckily I usually have someone with me to grab me by the shirt and hold me back. Just kidding too, but I like how Paula thinks!
