  1. Wow CC...thank so much! Sent you a PM! :smiley2::smiley2::smiley2:
  2. Thanks CC! Where do you find bags that size?
  3. This may sound like a dumb question, but those of you who use shrink warp tubing for your pillars...what size do you recommend for 3X9 pillars? How much "shrink" do you plan for?
  4. Hi, Looking for a straight strong mango that throw in soy and palm. No colada...not papaya...not tea...just straight mango. Anyone have a favorite to recommend?
  5. It says I B Leafy! Floral: 24% Fruity: 16% Herby: 7% Leafy: 25% Spicy: 7% Woodsy: 22% "Leafies are the most creative people on the planet and they approach every aspect of life with originality. Sometimes Leafies have extremist and nonconformist ideas. They're very interesting to listen to as they can spout details about everything under the sun." That's me! A walking encyclopedia of useless knowledge! LOL
  6. It's with their other candle making supplies...same aisle at Michaels.
  7. yeah sorta...more like a clay. You make a little ball then stick it on the bottom of the mold and flatten it out.
  8. Ditto on the ditto for Vanilla Pear. Black Raspberry Vanilla is yummy too!
  9. I got some Yaley mold sealant at Michaels. Reusable, don't need much and it works like a charm with my palm wax at 190.
  10. Thanks so much everyone for the suggestions! It's wierd, I moved to Florida from Ohio because I couldn't stand the cold winters. That was before I made candles...I'm thinking about moving back because of all the suppliers in and around Ohio! :embarasse Naaaah!
  11. Thanks. I'm currently using NG for both. They are strong throwers, but to me, they aren't true....I grew up with honeysuckle vines and 3 large lilac trees in my yard...I want them to smell like that! LOL
  12. Looking to change my supplier for these 2 scents; Honeysuckle and Lilac. Who is your opinions has the truest of these 2? I guess I should add...for soy and palm candles.
  13. Thanks Shiela, Unfortunately I don't have any 343, but I will get some and try it. Are you using candlewic's Palm?
  14. dcroom...maybe I'm just not using FO's that throw like champs in candlewic Palm. Can you share which ones throw so well for you?
  15. I started out using less...but they wouldn't release from the molds. :undecided
  16. Thanks celicagtca and stella. Have any other Palm users compared scent throw in palm wax from different suppliers? I've only used candlewic's. Their website says 6% FO load. One time I did 7%, and after burning for 3 hours and then cooling and resetting, there reset burn pool had a "burnt" look.
  17. Hi everyone, I love the look of feathering palm, but to me it's scent throw is very weak. I use candlewic's feathering palm, 3 tb palm stearic and 6% FO. They look beautiful and come out of the molds easily. I use LX wicks and they burn nicely too. But they just don't throw much! (in comparison to soy blend containers) Am I doing something wrong or is that just the nature of Palm? (Or do I have candlenose?) I guess I should also mention the FO's I use are from Peak and NG.
  18. You guys will probably think I'm nuts, but here's how I beat the wet spot monster. I have tried heating my containers, and I have tried to learn to "embrace them"..."it's the nature of soy"...but... I found if I wrap a terrycloth hand towel from my bathroom around my candle and let it sit for 2 days...I have NO WET SPOTS EVER! Of course I am broke now from buying towels, and have no extra money for more new FO'S!
  19. So what is your overall opinion of Joy vs other soy based waxes, Henry?
  20. Have any of you done this? If so, has it affected your wicking? I have been playing with this and it seems I have to wick DOWN, when I thought I'd need to wick up??? I'm adding 3 TBL per pound.
  21. Anyone who has used this oil, (which btw I love) would you consider it to be a buttery vanilla or more of a *bean* vanilla. I need a bean vanilla, but I don't know if Special Edition is buttery or not compared to *other* vanillas. To me it's just smells really good! I have searched the threads, but what I'm looking for is feedback from someone who has used this Special Edition Vanilla AND some other vanilla that is described as a *bean* vanilla to tell me if I need to order some *other* vanilla, (if that makes any sense at all) LOL! :undecided
