The link to candletech is a recipricol link for a listing with candletech's directory. Of the 35.00 'adoption' fee for the Big Cat's, 25.00 goes directly to the care of the cats. That means a customer ordering an adoption kit is getting a 16.00 candle for 10.00. So for every adoption kit, I am donating 6.00 of retail to Big Cat Rescue.

I'm donating a set of 12 status jar candles for the Fur Ball silent auction, and have been asked to do a gift basket for Bo Derek. Bo is the Presidential appointee as a special envoy on wildlife trafficking, and will be appearing at Big Cat Rescue's Fur Ball to receive the Guardian Angel Award for her work to save the tiger. I have NO idea what scent to use!!

I've tweaked that template so much over the past 15 months...I'm not sure how much original code is left except for that pic with the flash, LOL. I knew nothing about Frontpage when I started it. I know I screwed up the stylesheets. Oh well.

Those words came from the wax manufacturer. I'm thinking about switching waxes to C-3 anyway...maybe I should take it out.

Wick trimmed too short or bigger wick?

How wide are the JJ's at their widest point? I'm testing C-3 in a 8 ounce status jar, 3 inch diameter, and an eco 10 was too big even trimmed to 1/8. Big dancing flame, smoking... 8% Pua Pikake FO. Eco 8 is perfect after a 4 hour initial burn. Full MP, clean sides... Waiting for another hour to re-light it. -
I've followed the CO threads here and did some playing with it. Every once in a while while googling I find references soy candles using cottonseed oil as an additive. Anyone ever played with CSO?

I must be a glutton for punishment... but I am testing yet another wax. For the C-3 users, what temp are you adding FO? Thought I'd get the temps fine tuned before I move on to the REAL torture...wick testing!! TIA

Anyone tested FO's from From Nature With Love in soy or palm? Their oils are pricey. Wondering if anyone has any feedback. TIA

You can find instructions for Palm wax here. Not sure who you get your wax from, but I'd check that for melt and pour temps http://www.candlewic.com/candle-making-newsletter/1004.asp I add 5% palm stearic and use spray mold release to treat my aluminum molds. Are you using wick pins? The only way I know of to change the wick for testing would be the use of wick pins and then don't wick the pillar very deep, maybe like 3 inches, test it for burn, and if it's not the right wick you might be able to pull it out and when cool stick in another one. Not sure, never tried it. LOL But it sounds like it might work.

I looked on the TSW site but can't find Sweet Violet & Sassafras. Anyone tested FNWL'S Hawaiian White Ginger in soy? That's another expensive one.

IMO, It is clever marketing. Aromachology is the scientific study of the effects of fragrances and scents on the mind and behavior. Aromatherapy—the therapeutic use of essential oils—is often mistakenly reduced to or equated with the concept of “smell things, feel better”. But to get the therapeutic or healing effect of essential oils on the nervous system the amount inhaled has to be very concentrated, much more concentrated than can be inhaled from a candle of body product.

Who has White Lily? Or a pure Hawaiian White Ginger? Not a blend with amber or tea. I have Gardenia, Honeysuckle Jasmine and Plumeria from Candlescience and Pikaki from NG. I need one more! Not so much exotic flower name, but a true exotic flower fragrance...strong thrower in soy. I know, I know...I'm picky, LOL

Yep, our choices in FL are very limited. I get my wax from http://candlescience.com/wax/soy-wax.php They carry ecosoya, C-3 and GB 415. They have other soy waxes as well. For customer service, choice and shipping to FL, I just don't think Candlescience can be beat.
