  1. Gelglow, so does this person have their wax now? Why do they state they still have no wax and no money back? They state they are out 500.00.
  2. Millcreek has this one and it is unbelievably true to the name! Very popular this spring.
  3. Oh wow...what an awesome store! You are making all that inventory and working a full time job during the day??? Holy cow! Who runs the store then? Congratulations and hopefully you will be able to quit the fulltime and soon! You need to be around to enjoy your new store! What an inspritation you are.
  4. Doesn't DIY have employees who work for them? I thought I read before about them talking about people they have that can help their customers with their sites? If they have employees they are not 'sole proprietors' and have to have a federal #. I may be way off here, but I thought by the sound of it there were people working for them. TammyC if you do a search here about DIY I think you will find plenty of things good and bad said about them...maybe you already did. Very unprofessional of them for not getting you your site that you paid for!
  5. Exactly Vicki! The price of soybeans will drop again, same with fuel, but will the suppliers drop their prices? I doubt it!
  6. It is the same as gb415 but I'm kinda stuck (I shouldn't say 'stuck'..they are a great company with so many great products!) with bcn as they are the closest to me. I did put in 50 lbs in cs's cart and checked the shipping it says its 30.00 for shipping to me for one 50 lb carton... ..is their cart set up with an 'actual' shipping or do they adjust before they ship it out because that would kill me...I think its around 20.00 to ship from bcn...thanks for that info jakalex!
  7. I went to order more EZsoy and noticed BC upped the price to $40.50 for a 50 lb box!:undecided Yikes! Wonder if the price of soybeans is going up or if its just due to fuel costs! It is just getting harder and harder for us 'small beans' to keep absorbing these increases with out raising our prices...I now feel like I'm going to have to raise prices, but I know I will lose if I do! To many others out there selling for less!
  8. Fresh cut grass from Millcreek smells exactly like the real stuff!
  9. Just going through some of my oils and noticed that Santa Spruce (Brambleberry) and Sugared Spruce (the candle source) smell the same!
  10. Ditto what CB said but I would also add BCN to the list!:smiley2:
  11. I don't believe that supplier exists! Good luck in your quest!
  12. LOL...we were on the same page!! I had another window open as I was doing the searching and didn't refesh this thread before posting...I guess I'm a little late with this huh?!!!
  13. Have you smelled the candle? What notes are the 'citrus' scent in it? Could it be something like a cranberry orange spice? Or something more unique than that? Is it more like a 'country kitchen' scent..apple pie type? This is what I have come up with so far after searching... NG's Country Home- "The same aroma you get when walking into a log cabin that has spicy/citrus potpourri in the air." Safe for m&p soap & bath/body products. Millcreek Cozy Home- Chock-a-block full of warm, housewarming spices with a burst of fresh apple. Sure to become a new favorite. I also found the place she got that candle from online, and holy cow...they sell the square mason jar soy candle for 2.75 ea. wholesale...sheesh..who can compete with that?!
  14. I've never tried this oil, but the name of it made me think of "ocean front property in Arizona"!!!! LOL! I should try it, then I would know what that 'ocean front property in Arizona' will smell like!
  15. Well I guess more than anything you would WANT to test your wax, wick and fo combination so you know they burn SAFELY!!!! If you don't want to take the time to test, just want to get those candles out on that table at the next show, you had better be willing to take responsibility if your untested candle BURNS SOMEONES HOUSE DOWN OR HARMS SOMEONE!!! That should be the first thing you are testing for..then the other things people here have mentioned come into play!
  16. Well, I tried to search for southwestern 'names or words' and this is what I came up with.. Kokopelli chili pepper cactus juice (how about that for your mango papaya!) Adobe Dreamweaver (although that might be tm'd by bcn) Eagle Dancer Wind Dancer (you could use this for a floral scent) Buffalo Coyote Cactus clay pot Canyons Mesa Verde Indian paintbrush Prickly Pear Cactus Larkspur Anyway...hope it helps!
  17. I agree with Tony's..awesome! A friend used to buy the oil from me so she could wear it as perfume!
  18. I'm not sure, maybe one of the 'pro' B&B'ers will pop in on this thread and give you some ideas on how to have your testing done! I think its a good thing just for peace of mind if nothing else, but also when a customer asks you can tell them its been tested! P&V, glad to hear your getting it tested...I read so much on these forums about needing insurance and not selling before you get insured etc, but you don't hear to much about this product testing before selling...I would think this would be another 'form' of insurance per se, to go along with the liability insurance..KWIM? I don't make B&B stuff, just dabble in a little bit for myself but I was thinking about this testing the other day and thought this would be a good time to bring it up......hopefully someone will step in here!
  19. I'm also curious about 'testing' of B&B products...if you make a lotion from scratch...(not using a base)..how many people actually send it off for testing before selling it? Is this a requirement or is this more a personal choice? I have read where some have talked about having their products tested by an agency but I wonder if the majority of people selling b&b are actually doing this?
  20. Jami, I'm glad JS oils work for you and that you are happy with them. I tried them, didn't have much luck so moved on...same with other suppliers, that's the nature of the beast in this business, I may try them again..who knows!!!! Now, I'm also throwing this out there since NOL wants to start crap around here...NOL, didn't you just admit on (pa's) board that you agree many of JS's oils are light?? Hmm...isn't that what SOW was saying here and you felt the need to jump on her opinion? You also tell her to go back to her board...what, you mean the BB that you think is such a bad place, or the (PA's board) where you (and a couple of others from here) are over there bashing members of CT right now? See, you want to point a finger at someone else, but just remember when you do, there are 3 fingers pointing right back at yourself! Now some of you want to discuss credibility...LMAO! Looks like you just lost yours! To the rest of the ct members here who aren't involved, I appologize to you for having to put you in the middle of this...but some people here want people to think they are upstanding ct members, when its just not true and they need to be called on it!
  21. That's why you have never picked up the fuel smell....you aren't 'burning' the scent with a flame, you're just heating it up!!!!!!
  22. I've used them before and they were great! Excellant customer service, super fast shipping and the oils I used worked great in pure soywax....I can remember trying By the Sea which is super salty oceany smelling..awesome scent, Boysenberries & Moss which was very different, but strong I really liked it and White Birch (these are the ones I can remember off the top of my head) I loved these but figured I needed to cut down on the amount of suppliers...I may have to take a look again at these guys...
  23. You actually smell a spicy orange in this? All I get is pure fresh juicy oranges...and same with anyone else I've had smell it. I wish I could smell a chili pepper scent in there...
  24. Oh god! I was afraid you were going to ask that..LOL...I'll try but its going to be hard to explain this...its a warm, deep scent, a spice to it but not in the sense of 'cinnamony spicy' or not in the sense of baking spices-spicy...I told you this was going to be hard!! Hopefully someone else will jump in here...but I hope you can get what I mean by a warm scent, because when I smell it oob I get a sense of warmth...ok, I'm done! Nice try huh?!!!!
