  1. But it seems to be the only way she can get this company to respond!
  2. Was this batch of candles made from a new box of wax? Are the wicks from a new batch?
  3. I've never really been satisfied with a Pumpkin Pie fo in soy...don't know what it is, they just don't seem strong enough and if they by chance throw strong, its not the true pumpkin scent I'm looking for! I will just have to keep searching for 'The Great Pumpkin'...LOL....maybe its just me, and I'm to picky about pumpkin!
  4. The 'upscale' candle is really no different than what you and I make other than the packaging and a clientelle that will buy them! Actually I will say, alot of us 'home candlemakers' make a way higher quality candle than those upscale makers, they just put the hefty price tag on it and put it in a fancy box and get some ultra ritzy store to carry them and voila...they have an upscale candle!
  5. Not all FO's will work with soy, you could have run into some of those too!
  6. amillion...I think your off to a great start! Love the home page and the background on there! Very soothing.
  7. I don't get frosting because I don't dye my candles. Everything sounds right, so how long after you pour are you burning these? I am thinking you must have a serious case of candle nose...I would put them all away for a couple of days, let the house air out and then try burning them.
  8. Yes very creative! I like your ideas!
  9. Well it all sounds about right....but I would just try using the 415 by itself. You might want to try out with just doing a pound or less first so you don't end up wasting so much if it doesn't work out. When burning did you say if you are getting a full melt pool? What jars are you using? I would really have other people try burning them also, you would be surprised how others can smell them and you can't!
  10. Can I ask why you mix those two? Why not just use the 415? What wicks are you using? Are you using quality FO's? If you can't seem to smell them, have you given some away to friends or family to have them test burn one to see if they can smell it? You might have candle nose too.
  11. Yikes CB.....you're right--:tiptoe: :tiptoe: :tiptoe: ! I like the candy corn from BCN and the Carmel Dip from FOH for carmel apple.
  12. I would measure the coconut oil in the soywax ratio...say you measure out 16 oz of soy wax but want to add the co to it, I would discount the soywax measurement to add the co measurement to it, then add my normal amount of FO to that...does that make sense?
  13. Got ya, didn't know there were two different CB's at wnw...
  14. On the 'fragrance twins' thread someone posted that NG's Butter Brickle is the exact same as WNW Creme Brulee...just thought I'd add that!

Wow they have some really different oils that I've never seen anywhere else but boy are they spendy! They are right up there with DS on prices! If you order from them let us know what you think! I know there were quite a few I am interested in but not at those prices!
  16. I am wanting to try some of BW's oils but I am wondering how they throw in a straight soywax. I keep seeing reviews in soy blends anyone used them in straight soy? What did you think? Thanks all!
  17. I 'sixth' the ES from FOH!!! Outstanding Eucalyptus Spearmint oil!
  18. Has anyone tried BW oils in 100% pure soy like the 415 soy? Just wanting to know if these oils are throwing strong in that wax!
