No Problem. I have never tried it, but am thinking about getting a small one. Hopefully one day I'll have my own shop so I can do all this great stuff. Right now I only get a few orders, nothing worth melting more than 1 pound of wax at a time for, lol.

What about a heat lamp?

I just wanted to add this. I did poke relief holes about every half hour. The first pour was at about 175* and trhen each pour after was about 5 degrees hotter. I poked 3 relief holes around each wick hole. I'm wondering too if it is from cooling too fast. All i did to cool it was let it sit on the counter. Maybe next time I will try putting a box over it.

I am using 4625 Complete Pillar wax. I have made quite a few pillars, and never seen this before, but this was my first 3 wick. I have seen a couple of times in my votives, where I mix the wax usually 75% 4625 and 25% 4786. I will do a search for fingernailing, thank you. I din't know what to call it, lol. I showed it to my cousin last week when she came over, and she loved it, so she bought off me, lol. I told her to make sure she lets me know how it burns.

I made my first 3 wick, and it turned out gorgeous! But....about a week after it sitting on the counter, it started to develop these stange white areas throughout. I have noticed that some of my votives do the same, only sometimes. What causes this and how do I prevent it?

I have been using an old counter top deep fryer and a metal pouring pot. I just keep water in the deep fryer and turn it on to the temp i want my wax to be, then let the pouring pot with wax sit on top. I bought my hubby a turkey fryer for Xmas, and he has already informed me that I'm not allowed to touch it for my candles, lol.

*looks down at feet* ermm...I think I have been guilty of that a time or two myself *blush*

$24 ?!?!? Wow! I also notice it says NOT to burn for more than 2 -3 hours...wonder why that would be. I would guess that if the rose petals aren't too close to the wick, they wouldn't burn because the wax would melt and they would be wet....I'm only guessing though.

Lmao! Welll...if you are referring to my hubby, then the answer is yes. But otherwise, I think the original Bigfoot is from B.C./Washington. Trust me, with the amount of snow we have gotten this year, you would get tired of it very quickly. The snow is literally as high as my back fence. I haven't seen this much snow since I was a kid. And we are expecgted to get another dumping tonight.

I had bought both of those trays a couple of years ago, and never used them for anything. I think I bought them at the grocery store. Do you think I can find them again?? No way!! And I live in the middle NoWhere, Saskatchewan, so I don't even have a Linens N Things cry: Not that my hubby minds, lol.

Don't you trim the wick? I thought that was just a standard thing to do with Pillars.
