  1. Hey Lisajo - I didn't know you were over here! I didn't mean you didn't believe me in a bad way...more of a funny way (hope you know that)! And yeah - who would think pickled sandalwood! I sent AJ a bit of the JBN Sandalwood to try out..it smelled much much much better than Peak's . Jen
  2. Hi, Smacky . I literally just used this...I have some sitting here at work because I love it so much! Jen
  3. Her Cranberry Orange throws amazingly in soy! I use it at 9% but her fos are so dang cheap (especially when you get them on sale) that I don't mind! Jen
  4. I'm sure I still have your addy. Will try to get out tomorrow. Curious on the JS one too....I need to order soon anyway so could always try a sample :smiley2: Jen
  5. I'm loving the wax but am definitely having troubles wicking...the ecos are smoking on me...am going to try others...really hope I can get this wax to work! I'm spoiled with J50 being so easy to wick...and soy has never really given me troubles either. Jen
  6. AJ - No Way! (This is Jen - FF&P BTW). I smell the same as you oob but I thought - hey - what the heck - I'll see what it does in wax. Nope - still smells like pickles. I told Lisajo and she didn't believe me...but sent me a couple of different fos that she uses in soy...JBN Hawaiian Sandalwood and WSP Sandalwood incense. I put the JBN (which she says smells just like TW's) in wax but have not burned it...gave it to a tester and won't know for a bit. Would you like to try some? I can pop it in the mail... Jen
  7. I like Atomic Fireball, Rosemary Mint, Cinnilla, Blackberry Sage, Birthday Cake, and I'm sure there's more! Jen
  8. I've heard that can happen when the candle is burning too hot. I've experienced it in soy and J50 as well... Jen
  9. I'm so impressed with the throw of this wax! I usually only wait 24 hours to do my test burn and so far...have not been disappointed. Jen
  10. You guys are funny . I wicked down on the Greenleaf blend last night, used my wick trimmer, and lo and behold...it worked like it should! D'oh! Jen
  11. I'll measure tonight... ETA: thanks for your replies!
  12. I have a lovely wick trimmer (cooped here often) but it seems like it doesn't trim short enough and my flame is too high. I *think* I wick correctly in that I get good burns, no smoking, no sooting, etc (when I trim the wick without the wick trimmer)..but wouldn't this mean I'm overwicking? Thoughts? Jen
  13. My MIL is allergic to soy (and everything else under the sun it seems) and said she got headaches from burning my soy candles. I don't know if I quite believe that...but hey - it's not me so what do I know :undecided ? Jen
  14. It's kind of like a salsa jar... http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin36c.html (the 8oz size) Jen
  15. I tried HTP 105s in 3 jars...with my jars, I usually go up a size from what I'd try in an 8oz reg jj...(to give perspective). I like the way the htps burned better than the ecos...I don't know what it is that I don't like about the ecos but it seems like no matter what I try...I never get a good burn. With the HTPs, though, I think it was burning too hot and by the end of the burn, they were flame throwers (but I also may not have trimmed the wick as much as I should have so still need to test). I'd try a 104 but those sometimes burn hotter than a 105! All three had wonderful hot throws! I had the GL Vanilla Lavender in my bedroom and it was coming down the hall and into the living room - loving that scent! Jen
  16. That was going to be my next test...I don't warm my jars when I use EZ Soy but do when I use paraffin (J50 or 4627) so am going to warm the jars next time. I'm really impressed so far with the throw of the wax! I tried ecos but I'm not a huge eco fan...I don't know why...so I'm testing HTPs right now. Jen
  17. I think the wet spots depend on your climate...I'm in a fairly cold damp climate at the moment (MN) and I did have wetspots... ETA: my wetspots are worse in the cold than in the summer... Jen
  18. Aw...shucks . You're too sweet cmille3. I need to take a week off from work so I can devote some time to getting that website up. Jen
  19. As was your scrub . I'm hoarding the last little bit! Your labels have stood up really well in my shower! Jen
  20. Thanks, Tonya! I poured a couple of my tried and true and a couple that are new to me - GL's Lavender Vanilla and GL's Cherry Vanilla. Jen
  21. I just poured some last night and couldn't get over the ease! So simple to cut from the slab, and set up so beautifully! Can't wait to start test burning! Jen
  22. 1945 has a great throw but no greater than J223 or J50 or other waxes... My MIL hates strong scents (and I know others too) so when I make hers...I make it weaker. Which to me seems wrong but she wouldn't burn them otherwise. We all have different noses! Jen
