I dont think Polawax is waxy either. I have to admit, I make a pretty mean body butter and I have never heard anthything about a wax feeling. I supposed if too much is used it would.
I am using polawax at the time and I think you can use a bit less than regualr ewax. Its getting really hard to find, so I may try this BTMS. Glad i read this post to see so many like it.
Ooh, I got a sample of this yesterday and cant wait for a dupe of it. I think it gets released from BBW in a week, so Im sure a dupe is too follow, unless there already is. This stuff smells so good, a really good fall/winter scent.
I think mainly baby oil is mineral oil which really has no benefit. I use a lot of rice bran oil in my scrubs, its very economical. I dont make salt scrubs, just sugar, so I use turbinado sugar which you can get at Walmart and I use plain sugar as well.
I promise I did a thorough search and did not find anything about favorite lip balm base:D Anyhoo, I went though tons of sites last night looking for a base thats just amazing. A couple of them were Soo expensive, like $36 for 16oz. Just wanted to hear if there were a couple bases that were worth sharing.
I was just going to post asking about this stuff. I know there are a couple brands of pedicure products with different % of urea for diabetics, severely cracked heels, ect. The stuff is VERY expensive, so it would be nice to make a foot cream that has the same effect.
Well, this opens up a whole new can of worms. Now, I know for retail, the MSDS sheets are not required, BUT if these salons would want to use my scrubs, I have to get an MSDS. Has anyone had one made?
We use a brand called Qtica for scrubs at the salon. I will look tomorrow and see whats all in it. Its about the only scrub I have ever used that hasnt left some sort of residue.
I have a couple salons that are interested in carrying my body butter and scrubs for retail and one of them asked if they have to have a MSDS sheet from me for the retail. I know we have to have them for any products we use in the salon. I totally forgot about that so hopefully the state board doesnt notice it. If you do have MSDS sheets, how did you come up with them or is it even necessary?
Just starting to make an 80oz batch of emulsified body scrub in 4 different scents; Heavenly, Falling in Love, Confederate Jasmine and more Pink sugar. Made 2 1lb batches of soap for me and dh. Amazing grace for me and Very sexy for him. I need to get a bunch of body butters made this weekend too.
