  1. You can either soap with your oils & lye a bit warmer or put your mold with the soap in it on a heating pad on warm for a few hours.
  2. If you can't download the Avery from their website you can call them and they will send it to you on a disc.
  3. I find a bit more than 1/2 oz per lb of wax is plenty.
  4. Soapfreak .. what supplier carries the FD & C Lake?
  5. I used to use the French milled M&P from the Soap Saloon in California and loved it. It was harder than regular M&P which make the bars last a long time.
  6. Wow, those are beautiful soapies.
  7. I can't imagine buying lye if it's going to be packaged in zip lock bags. The bags can easily be damaged in shipping even if they are packaged in a flat rate or UPS box. I don't mind at all paying the hazmat fee when I purchase it in 40 or 50 lb lots because it's still much cheaper than buying at a hardware store.
  8. It is reviewed on page 3 ..Black Raspberry Vanilla/Black Raspberry Creme.
  9. The BRV f/o's from Peaks and TSW don't discolor at all in CP.
  10. Peaks BRV is great and so is the one from The Scent Works.
  11. I use the 92 degree coconut from Columbus Foods and it is hard year round. I love it.
  12. I just placed an order at Columbus Foods yesterday and the coconut has gone down since I ordered last. My rationale is since coconut has gone down I can offset the decrease by keeping the babassu in my soap. I love what babassu does to my soap and will keep purchasing it regardless of the price.
  13. I use less than 1/2 of the regular amount of lavender as you normally use of other f/o's because it is so strong.
  14. You probably have an uneven pouring area. Put a level on it to see how level it really is. Don't know about the bubbles unless you are stirring some air into the wax.
  15. Another one you have to try is the French Vanilla & Amber. Amish Harvest is great, Sandalwood is very nice ... I could go on and on about their oils.
  16. I mix Peak's patchouli with Peak's lavender in CP soap and sometimes I add a bit of their key lime with it. Go easy on their lavender as it is killer strong. You are going to love it:yay: .
  17. You can order it in bulk from Boyer. Nice & free flowing and doesn't clump.
  18. The oils from Peaks are top notch and are well worth waiting a week. I don't consider that a long time to wait.
  19. You might like Wild Raspberry. It's from Peaks also.
  20. I don't know about it in candles as I have not put it in wax but it's very, very strong in CP soap and one bar will scent your bathroom for a long time.
  21. Hi Mike, Good to see you over here.
  22. I agree with you, Glo, this recipe is a winner.
